Great video, I am seriously close to purchasing a new detector but I was recently put off the idea due to the Swiss rules on prospecting. Do you happen to know who to contact in the Canton Geneva area to apply for a permit? And is it even allowed here?

Taking an small, illegable piece of a German soldiers dog tag of the battle field is like taking his gravestone. Piss poor mate. Ex professional soldier.
Totally understand your feelings. I work with an archaeology team and it is a way to return items to family members that otherwise have no idea what has happened to loved ones. Unfortunately not enough detail left on this to do that but I did manage to return a pocket watch to family recently and they were very grateful. But as I say I totally understand your feelings
Totally understand. Unfortunately this is the only way that some family members ever find out what happened to their loved ones if we can return items. But I get what you are saying. I work with an archeology team so I see both sides
Thanks, i want a detector without machine noise would like to hear only 2 sounds from the machine , good targets and iron sounds. which from the two would you say has less chatter where i would have a more pleasant search without being tired of hear chatter? thanks
The Manticore in my opinion makes more noise than the deus. Especially on mineralised ground. I enjoy using the Deus more with the sounds than the manticore.
Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I don't like the way you have to charge the coil on the Deus. I also don't like the thin wire you have to attach to the machine to be able to use it underwater. The Manticore charges really easily and is all in one. However I have a different experience to most with these machines as we have to dig everything including iron where I am to keep the licence. So I have noticed that the deus is a bit more accurate with saying when something is good. If you have a hole with iron as well as a good item the manticore can get badly confused. The deus also at times but not so often. You hear the grunt of iron but a louder sound for a good metal also. Each to their own. I prefer the Deus on open fields and I have had crazy luck on beaches with it but not using the settings advised. The manticore is a solid beach machine. I like it. Both are very good.
I have a few different heads. The stock coil. A small coil and the biggest one that looks like a satellite dish but makes the machine quite unbalanced. Mostly I preferred using the stock coil that came with it. Although I have a lot of machine I still rate the Kruzer as an excellent metal detector
That is incredible that you found so many. I know people tumble them. Some use lemon juice or coke to clean them. But I actually like the patina on them.
@@NathanielOutdoorAdventures out off 1106 coins only about 20 were half decent but the rest are a mess. I've kept them out off any liquid as I was going to try a dry tumbler to try and knock off all the green thats on them. The half decent ones I've cleaned and they look like gold coins now
I thought I saw a female bust on the lead piece, then you turned it around and it was a rams head! 😂 Cool find! Nice cartwheel penny and other coins and buttons too! Fun hunt! 👍🙋♀️🙋
Nice hunt with Kev! That lead piece you found was very interesting and different. That's not something you find every day. I love Kev's story about it. Lol. Such a beautiful countryside. 💖💯
