Hi there! Welcome to the Fishin' Karts RU-vid channel! We're all about random videos and cool builds! Make sure to check out some of my videos and subscribe if you like them! Have a great day!
You could try hot gluing some led shot as ballast toward the stern, situate it inside the boat around the intake grate. This should fix it mate. If you have Porpoise issues, throw some weight up forward... The weight won't be an issue as Jet Boats get up on the plane differently to keel boats. I could go on and on as I worked on 40 - 68 ft Jet Boats over here in Western Australia for many years allowing us to fish the '' top of the reef '' to get into the deep holes. Have taken some large surf head on and side on over the years and always stashed a spare set of underpants. We normally run 600 - 800 HP Marine Diesel V8's ( Caterpillar or GM - Twin in some boats. ) in these big work boats. Weight distribution is key. Oh and definitely look for a 4 bladed aluminum impeller, brass will do fine too and a high RPM bearing and housing, use plenty of grease. Anyway I wont keep rambling... Thank you for a great series young fella, Keep it up. Subbed. Jimbo - Australia
Great build mate! Have you had any issues with the impeller exploding into a hundred pieces?... If anyone knows the specs for a brass prop for this unit I'd appreciate it. Could then go to 4s without any issues. Plastic impellers will explode at very high RPM, cavitation/air being the nemesis.
I want to know if you could tell me how to get the Neptune 28 rc boat on/off switch. Would you be willing to sell the switch you took out of your boat? Thanks, Rich
My Freightliner has got 550hp, I should show you how I pull hills at 75mph cranking her out, always wanted to put some tracks on the back and weight her down and see if it would pull something in the field, cool stuff, im still dreaming with my toy tractor collection, even though if I sold them I could have an old 8430 maybe
That's sweet. This unit has 560hp, but has a chip that can crank it up to 730hp. I've always loved all of the old diecast john deere tractors. My great grandpa had literally a whole room full of them. I got to keep a couple of them when he passed away.
They should come with that. I've never just put one on, I put them on after I broke the truck in half. Volcano's are very weak trucks, break a lot, and self destruct on 3s.
You've probably since moved on from this. But for anyone trying to replicate this, what you could do is if the shredder unit still has the automatic switch attached, hook it up to a relay and plug the drill into that and use a zip tie to hold down the trigger so that you can still automatic feed it.
@@fishinkarts2865 how can i message you? i am wondering about what ignition coil you used, the ballast resistor (is the generator 6v?) and how you did your wiring. Basically I drove mine about 4 miles, had the battery die after sitting overnight. charged it, put it back in and noticed the battery was hot after a bit. i noticed a wire was shorted by the amp meter, and then noticed the ignition coil was hot, half melted and leaking. I replaced the wire and what i believe to be the correct coil, but no spark. I'd like to make sure everything is wired correctly, and replace what's needed.
@@aandrewlangenfeld I'm fine messaging on here if you are. If you are still running a 6v battery then you shouldn't need a ballast resistor at all. My generator didn't work so I went ahead and converted mine to 12V with a mini alternator for charging. I can't quite remember how it was wired originally. Make sure you have voltage at the coil when the key is on. If you do then you either have a bad coil or something is going on with the distributor. If you DON'T, then obviously you need to find out why. You also might be able to google a 6v ford tractor ignition diagram. They should pretty similar Apart from maybe the generator.
I have a 12v battery with the generator, the part that’s on the outside of the generator doesn’t look like the ballast resistors I’ve seen. So I’m not sure what it is. When I tested the two terminals in side of coil with test light it shows i power there but none coming out.
How does the axle handle the weight of the engine? I'm thinking about putting a 650 suzuki motor in my buggy, worried the extra weight might break the axle
ya, so, i was looking for something reproducible... this video was 3 years ago... how many days did this last once you broke it the first time and swapped power to your drill?... eh, thumbs down for either not providing enough info, or just simply wasting my time... nothing personal...this is cool, just not useful to anyone but you and other people who are looking for ways to kill time watching videos of stuff they will never do.
It's all good. It lasted for a while and was still going strong but I found a used 10 sheet shredder that can do thin cardboard for $3 so I'm using that instead now. Also in my defense the title never said anything about a tutorial. It was more of an idea than an actual useful tool.
I made one of these bigger drill and all dont run full blast and drop cardboard into it that how I've broke my setup 3 times now so bake to the drawing board,, but hey no cheaper way to fill garden beds and mulching stuff
Found the same problem with a Merkury Smart Bulb today. Typical Walmart garbage. Should just be a cooling oil, nothing hazardous. But cheap, nonetheless. Walmart garbage is officially prohibited at my house now.
Put foam up in the nose to keep battery from moving forward. Lighter and adds protection against sinking, in case you do ever drive it in deeper water lol.
Add foam in there buddy or you'll watch it sink someday, trust me. Nice conversion job you did. Make sure battery is strapped down also, otherwise those hi G turns and spinouts can have it bouncing all over inside the boat and possibly disconnect from ESC and boat needs rescuing! (trust me on that one too lol) Hope you get many, many days of enjoyment out of it, mine usually got eaten by the river after 6th or 7th time out lol. But they were completely scratch built and pushed too hard to failure.
@@fishinkarts2865 Good, shallow is much safer, other than sucking up something that won't pass through. I sucked up a snail once during a test run, didn't know it was there untill I biked back to shop and pulled stator section off, showed my competitor (Brother) why it had gone weak on me and he said "So your boats so fast that a snail crawled up its ass trying to pass it?" The fued is still going on lol.
That's frickin AWESOME. 👍and no you're not going to spend 50 bucks for a good cardboard Shredder I've been looking for one there like $150 $200. I will definitely be doing this once mine Burns Out thanks for the video.
Did you end up making something like this? I’m also in the same boat. I was looking at a 24 sheet basic paper shredder for like 250. And I was just thinking there’s gotta be a cheaper alternative.
