Come hang out and lets talk about the real stories of the Bible. Our aim isn't to tell stories in the way that everyone knows them, but rather to step back and take a look at them in context... the context of the Biblical Writers. Your support means the world to me! If you enjoy my videos and would like to help cover the costs, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Before the gospel the only way one could grasp the idea of "let us make man in our image" was through the creation of Adam. But after receiving the gospel it should become obvious that the only begotten Son, the one whom God made all things through, and is the exact image of God (i.e. the "us"), and being "predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son" is how this would be fulfilled in the literal sense. The Son fulfills the order by us being transformed into the image of him (who is the exact image of God) - not by beginning or remaining in the image of Adam.
enoch was removed in the early 1900s by jews. There is an excerpt in the 1909 talmud bragging about how galations was almost removed. jews aren't hebrews, they're edomites descended from esau. Until recently the bible was very, meticulously careful to not get this mixed up. In the later translations (NIV especially) jew and israelite are used interchangeably despite being separate races with different religions.
love the videos, thanks for putting them out! Its awesome how you take a different angle than most people talk about and the connections behind the stories.
One of the problems with people reading scriptures especially scriptures from around the time of the children of Israel returning to Canaan. Was that back then there was such a a very dangerous type of system going on. The laws that were given to the children of Israel I don't believe for one second that they took those laws from Hummerabi forget the spelling but I'm not Babylonian. His laws are similar on some things but he had something else that they didn't have which was a government in the sense of the king being able to decide what he did was correct what he did that was breaking the law or not breaking the law. Whereas with the law that Moses brought that applied to everybody including Kings. There was no right for the king to duck behind the kinds of things that today political leaders would use to try to protect themselves from prosecution. There are instances when those kind of things need to be used especially if a political party is using the justice system to get rid of their enemies which happened then is it does now. When they came to words those areas They Came Upon some people who were quite mad. People who not only practiced immense Barbary against somebody who was not part of their group but especially against foreigners. Those areas there were also pretty much straightforward regarding things such as the sacrifice of children and that was for them the kind of a thing that was their own form of abortion. Because if you took a baby and you sacrificed it you would put the bones at one of the corners of your house after it had been sacrificed and then burned so that the ashes of the half charred bones could be placed there then it was supposed to bring them good luck which meant that they'd have more money because they didn't have another mouth to feed. And that's just on the things we know that we know that there was a lot of other things other than that. When I hear these so-called archaeologists who try to defend those people beginning with the Phoenicians because of Romans and Greeks saying that those places were sacrificing babies and children. The reason they're coming against that claim is because if those people believe those things then it it adds Credence to what the Bible says. So it is in their benefit to lie it is in their benefit even if they find the real proof of something that they don't care about actually working as archaeologists to be honest and put those things out. I remember Herschel shanks who was the editor of biblical archeology review and he spoke about in his magazines about how the people who came to Israel and the surrounding area is to dig that they were very very stringently warned that if they found something that they thought would either bring Credence to either Judaism or Christianity or Islam and they destroyed it out of fear that it might add Credence or might add legitimacy to something that they didn't agree with, that he would make sure that those people would never work within the bounds of being an archaeologist whether it be a professor or any other digs in the future of any other places around the world. For god sakes hustle Shanks found synagogues in Italy that proved that there were Roman soldiers and their commanders who were considered to be righteous gentiles. This is not something that somebody like Norman Finkelstein wanted to read about. Because he didn't believe that there could have been any Jews that would have been any bit friendly with a Roman but it was because he hated the idea of Jesus he hated the idea that Jesus was a real person. Norman is and will always be what Herschel called him which was a liar and a cheat who refused to even look at actual evidence he always would argue against it regardless of what he had in front of him
I found some thing that is a great tool. When I’m confused on a verse or even a chapter I use an app that’s free. It reads out loud or you can read it on the app. I copy it and I paste it onto an AI app and ask it to explain what the meaning of this is, it gives me an explanation of what and where this is said in the Bible, and what the meaning is step-by-step, not just one meaning, but it could mean this, or it could mean that, but either way it helps me understand what that chapter meant, because the Bible sometimes says things that is very confusing to read however AI really really helps me anyway to understand the meaning behind the Bible and I feel blessed to be able to use AI in a positive way
Another phenomenal video...thank you so much for continuing to produce these! Building upon the video... Prior to baptism (that could only be by John the Baptist), Jesus (a divine being in human form in natural realm) did not have supernatural abilities via the spiritual connection to God the Father (divine being that dwells in 3rd heaven) yet. Just like the resurrection, ascension, etc., Jesus getting baptized was a one-time, unique, and significant event. Even though his parents (Zachariah and Elizabeth...who was barren) didn't completely realize it when Gabriel told Zachariah prior to John the Baptist's birth, John The Baptist was the chosen one to eventually baptize Jesus. Matthew 3:15 "saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him" = establishing the supernaturally empowering spiritual connection with God the Father via baptism from John the Baptist. "Spirit of God" = "Holy Spirit", "descending" = "fell on", "saw" = "saw" In various verses in Acts, humans saw the Holy Spirit fell on baptized Christians turning them into supernaturally empowered Christians. Thanks again!
I personally think out comes are predetermined but not in the sense that you cant make choices and changes in your life/future but more in the sense that God already knows what choice you ultimately make only God knows what happens to you in the future as well I however don’t know the ultimate outcome or my future a car crash can happen any day going to work just like a medical emergency however I trust that these things wont happen in my day to day and try my best to make the best decisions when doing or planning. so its technically not predetermined in the sense you individually have free will however God does know what you do so i think more so God knows the outcome is the best way to put it. lol gues this just same thing u said
Excellent videos...seriously. Many humans, including Christians, intentionally (or unintentionally) consistently miss the mark with specific scripture. One area to discuss if you're interested. Christianity isn't a "job", it's The for/with our amazing God "Way of Life" together. Not arguing, just engaging in a spiritually enriching conversation if you're interested. Thanks!
The Old Testament is like a roller coaster foreshadowing the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You can go to the places nowadays and see the relics and artifacts of what happened like Mount sinai and Noahs ark and Sodom and Gomorra i think bringing these Real places and such stuff up in discussion really is intriguing especially for the historical significance and if nothing else Naysayers cant deny a place you can visit as being fake.
Pondering on such a question to long though can leave one in a state of bewilderment and loneliness as they wonder why the things in their life happen and why does things that are bad happen ending with the question of evil. Ultimately we get the answers to this from the Bible and reading and its best to let God be God and not ponder what he thinks at least thats my opinion. Revelations 5 :18 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
On the topic of filtering i would say read the bible but more specifically the KJV bible as anything written past it i would take with a grain of salt not all bibles can be taken as truth especially when so many ommit passages from the bible for the sake of “older manuscripts” despite the most well versed and written bible being the KJV bible id recommend any one who seriously takes the bible and what it says literally to read the KJV as it has the scrutiny done to any bible and atleast in the English language you cant ignore it being the most printed and influential book ever made and literally standardizing the English language to some degree also side note it as mathematically calculate-able occurrences that appear in it that only work in it and the Authorized version Bible which i would say is divinely inspired as no English translation sense has had these math occurrences and they like i said omit scripture. I strongly stand on this idea being self evident and being provable with any KJV bible not NKJV just KJV and the authorized version which is the same bible effectively just a name change for some reason however the math applies in both of them I seriously recommend looking for it and being open minded on the possibility that most if not all other bibles are frauds ment to create dissent in the church and division of ideas.
