I just installed this on my 2024 Jeep GC L Overland 5.7. Spoiler alert - you do not need to remove all those plastic panels, seriously. You might have to remove just like 2 of the clips to give you enough room to lift up on the panel to make more room but completely unnecessary to remove the entire panel. I love it by the way! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Some constructive notes. The music is pretty distracting (put the volume on 0 just to get through) And there was no sound clip. Additionally "in video links" block half the graph you post at the end.
Based on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty of your vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless it is proven that the aftermarket part was the cause of or contributed to the failure of the vehicle (15 U.S.C. 2302 (C)). I was shipped just the charge pipe that connects to the passenger side but it came with a hose bib already welded to the pipe that's too big to fit into the tiny 1/8 hose
Looks great! I'd love to know how much each of these rock slider weigh? Just so I know how much weight Im adding to my subie, I couldn't find anything on the website. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!
Does the exhaust come with different music options? The one that’s playing on yours sounds a bit gay for me. To each their own, but I wouldn’t like to hear that every time I got in my car. I’m an older guy without a man-bun, so I’d rather listen to something with a 70’s guitar sound. Maybe Ritchie Blackmore/Deep Purple soundtracks? Can I download something like that instead?
Hey I love this and about to pick one up for my ZR2. Is there anywhere to hear a true cold start? Factory exhaust is super load and high pitched on cold start
I feel like this is intended for the TRD trim. The Sequoia TRD and 4Runner TRD all have a wide range of aftermarket support, and now that the RAV4 comes in a TRD trim, aftermarket companies are trying to release some “cool” accessories and mods. If I had a RAV4 TRD, I’d probably buy one. Any other trim and I’d pass.
It’s not super audible in the video but does this tekeda a cold air intake add a noise to the engine? I’ve heard certain intakes add a cool noise as air gets sucked in but it seems more prevalent on short ram intakes. Is this true? Also I’ve heard the cool air intakes make the turbo much louder. Is this true with this one? I was trying to go for this intake and a HKS SSQV BOV for the perfect sound and performance ratio.
This one right out of the box is pretty quiet because it's a very closed system. There is a rubber plug on the side (shown at 2:21) that when removed will increase the sound considerably. When considering other intakes, generally the shorter and more open they are, the louder they will be. Also whether or not the intake includes the inlet pipe to the turbo or not will make a significant difference in sound/flow. Check out the Burger Motorsports intake if you want something that sounds cool and flows well. They also have a longer "cold-air" version that mounts the filter lower in the bumper.
Another car good question. I’m planning on getting the 2021 Mazda 3 turbo coupe/sedan. Just curious. What is needed to achieve turbo flutter as opposed to a woosh. I’ve heard 2 things. Either remove the BOV or add an intake. Do I need 1 of these or both? I’m just curious how this all works. Or if turbo flutter is safe for that car 0:03 . Thanks for your help! I’ve also seen certain blow off valves that make the turbo flutter.
Generally, yes, the intakes should be the same as long as you double check the engine info (displacement and turbo-charged vs naturally aspirated)! The exhausts tend to differ when you switch up the body style
