Hi im 12 and in novice nearly done it just to say you are a great dancer you should of won i wish i could dance like you and you have straight pointed legs :)
thank you very much :) the best advice i have for highcuts is besides the obvious of lots of practicing is to focus on making sure both legs are fully straight when extended and equally (not a lopsidded push off from leg to leg). Controled highcuts look the best even if the extension is smaller. Also, focus on your core while doing highcuts, a strong body that isn't moving helps you get more height and tiem for a better extension! Hope that helps!
What a long reel! And you did a great job!:) I'm dying doing a hullachan and that has way more breaks lol. You have amazing extension high cuts- have any tips!?
i disagree lol i would place the shorter girl with the black jacket 1st, the taller girl with the other black jacket 2nd, the girl in the red 3rd and the girl in the green 4th.
i guess its then gettign stronger muscles in your thighs..also, you might want to try and leaping and think about your upper body, if it straight its much easier to jump than if you lean forward which people sometimes do thinkin they will get a bigger split. keep your body straight so it will straight up in the air and your leap will look bigger :)
thank you :) i think it mostly comes from my love to jump, leaps and leap highcuts were alwyas part of favourite aspects of highland. one part of it is defintely flexibility and the other bti id say is the mental aspect of knwing exactly hwo to maximize your ability to do a leap.
omg i hope they give us something really short next year. strathspey, highland reel, 1/2 tulloch is so gruelling, esp. when it's a championship! maybe a hullichan!!! :D
againyour dancing is cool i saw that the other girl in black jacket did wrong 2ns setting step. the music was abit quick in the reel time but well done xx
