Hi, I was ordering a Hayate Otsu recently and I'm buying from Malta. On the Artisan website, when I click Proceed to Checkout it says Australia/UK/Canada/Ireland does that mean this doesn't ship to Malta? Also I went to the DHL website and when I entered Malta in my Destination Country/Region the Zip Code area was blanked out and wouldn't let me enter any words in the box.
Great video! I was looking and doing some research regarding replacing my QCK heavy. The NINJA FX TYPE-99 "X/SOFT" seems like its exactly what I'm looking for, I might just need to keep refreshing the shop every day till its in stock though, if it ever will be back in stock.. 😅
Was a headache for me doing it for the first time as a spanish speaker. Got late to this video but it's awesome you're helping the community with this guide!! :)
im sketched out about buying stuff online, also with the many miss spellings on the site i didnt want to mess anything up. although very simple thanks for holding my hand through the process <3 going from a no name brand $10 mousepad i bought a few years ago on amazon to an artisan i hope i love it.
@@hoarka3052 You should have a state equivalent, so just input that instead. If you aren't sure what it would be, the DHL tool is there and I explain how to use it in the video.
Japanese tech always feels like it was made by geniuses from a hundred years ago, usually better than what we have otherwise but somehow also kind of dated.
@@pietropinzani4272 The website was made by the founder lol. They do have a new website coming out soon made by someone that actually knows what they're doing and it should look very modern.
@@user-wt6sc2ku7n ARTISAN does not ship to the Philippines, but they do have an official vendor there. HobbyDynamics: www.hobbydynamics.ph/collections/mousepad?filter.p.product_type=Mouse+Pad&filter.p.vendor=Artisan HobbyDynamics on Lazada: www.lazada.com.ph/shop/hobby-dynamics
@@xqmars4157 Could you provide an example format? You should just be able to substitute the numbers for letters if that's the case anyways. Also, if there are issues with your address, ARTISAN will email you and let you know so nothing to really worry about.
As always, restocks are random, but for Type-99 specifically (since it just released and is in high demand), there is an ETA for restocks. Black should restock sometime within the next few weeks. For Matcha and Gray, on the other hand, it'll be 1-2 months or more until the next wave of stock is ready to be released. They also won't be giving any specific times for restocks (or any release going forwards) as they want their website traffic to be manageable.
So I jumped ahead and paid with the PayPal button instead of entering my card info. Payment went through and I still got the email. So hopefully all is fine. How do I track shipping tho?
Yeah, the PayPal button does work, but it's inconsistent so that's why I recommend just avoiding it. Also everything will indeed be fine since you got the confirmation email. As for shipping, due to the recent Type-99 release, it'll take around 3-5 weeks to ship out your order and subsequently receive your tracking number. They'll just email you again when they do ship it out and provide the tracking number there.
I would think these giys make decent money. Dunno why they cant afford squarespace. They'd probably want a whole web developer with a salary but hey, squarespace fits the bill for "better than the current bs"
They're actually working on a modern version of the website btw. It should look somewhat similar to jpgamingusa.com but it won't be using Shopify. The current website was made by the founder (Mr. Toshihiro Kobayashi) and it was not made very well. It's running on 24 y/o hardware w/ linux and apache + php lmao.
I have a few questions about the check out: 1) Should i put everything in english? (Probably yes, but it doesn't hurt to ask). 2) If my address was 1234 Jane St. on the 5th floor, should i write "Apt 5, 1234" in that box? (It's probably fine even if i put just the number of my address in that box, since you also have to fill in your name, so they could pretty easily find the right doorbell to ring from that, but i though i'd ask anyway).
1) First, make sure that you're on the English version of the website where everything is in English (it shouldn't be in Japanese or asking for things like prefecture - if that is the case, you are on the wrong version of the website and should see 0:46 for more details). You should input all of your shipping information in the proper (native) language for the Country, so if you're in the USA where English is the primary language used, then you would input all of your information in English 2) If the floor number is the closest indicator for your apartment address, then yes, you should be able to input it like that. As far as I'm aware, you would typically expect the room number to be used instead of the floor number though, so keep that in mind (and if you do use the room number, you wouldn't use the floor number) Hope that helps. If you have any more questions or need anything else, feel free to let me know!
A 15min buyers guide, a designated python script to query the availability of products, and a discord community. All for a Japanese vendor that sells plain mousepads lol... Seems like the juice must be worth the squeeze eh?
Yeah, I'd say so. If you're looking for a good mousepad, ARTISAN mousepads are definitely up there for ones that you should consider. If you're curious about ARTISAN: There's no denying that there are many companies that have great mousepads... but over the past few years, a large % of those companies have just been trying to create their own "versions" (whether they're alternatives or clones) of ARTISAN products or took inspiration from the multi-hardness system that ARTISAN established. A lot of people would consider ARTISAN to be the "gold standard" as well. This really just goes to show that ARTISAN has made a very significant impact on the enthusiast mousepad space as a whole. Also, since ARTISAN is a very consumer-oriented company, they actually like that there's a lot of competition and encourage it since it only serves to benefit the end consumer. Their eyes aren't only set on making profit (for example, they lost a lot of money producing the Shidenkai V1 but only continued production for as long as they did because of how many fans there were) and you could consider them to be true innovators in the space. In other words, they're quite well-respected in the community for a reason and have many fans because of that.
I'm going to do full writeups for both (Type-99 first) but I'm not sure if I'll make videos about them. Of course, if that's something you want to see, I'll consider it.
@@Styllarr i dont need the tutorial, but just looking at your timestamps and the script screenshot + mic quality dude you could go places brotha the quality is insane
Unofficial ARTISAN Discord Server: discord.gg/JYUQyvdbxk Kuuube's ARTISAN Stock Checker: github.com/Kuuuube/Artisan_Stock_Checker FAQ: Q: Where do I go to visit the ARTISAN website? A: Please access the international version of the website using this link -> artisan-jp.com/nj_index_eng.html If you visit the domestic (normal) version of the website, then be sure to click the red "Overseas" button near the top right. Q: I added the pad to my cart and nothing shows up... Why is that? A: It's a bug on the website and it means that it's out of stock. Q: When will x mousepad restock? A: ARTISAN restocks randomly so you'll just have to wait patiently. Restocks aren't officially announced anywhere. Q: What's the difference between Classic and Ninja FX? A: As shown at 2:35 in the video, the only differences are as follows: - Classic uses unstitched edges - The logos are slightly different - Classic is a tiny bit cheaper - The Raiden Classic in particular is not available in SOFT Q: How long does it take to ship and when will I receive my tracking? A: It'll likely take 1-2 (typically around 2) weeks to ship out. Once your order has been shipped out, you'll receive an email with the tracking number, and from that point onwards it'll take <1 week to reach you via DHL Express. ***Please do not email ARTISAN asking when your order will ship out if it has not been longer than the max ETA - the ETA would have been mentioned either on the website or in the order confirmation email. Q: What do I do with the DHL checker? A: It's only intended to be used to verify that your city has been entered correctly and is 100% optional. Most of the time it causes more trouble than what it's worth for people unfamiliar with the website. Please see 9:57 for more detail. Q: What's the difference between the three hardnesses? A: XSOFT and SOFT are both ~4mm, while MID is ~3mm. XSOFT will be the most plush and MID will be moderately firm, while SOFT will fall in-between the two. See 4:00 for more detail though note that I won't provide a super in-depth explanation here. Q: What's the difference between the various ARTISAN mousepads offered? A: There are many other videos that go into greater detail with regards to that - this video doesn't aim to cover that though. If you'd like to see a video from me specifically going over the different ARTISAN mousepads then feel free to let me know. Q: Are there fake ARTISAN mousepads? A: Yes, but they are all very low quality. If you order from Amazon, there's a small chance that you'll receive an obvious fake that was mixed in with the Amazon stock (since most orders are fulfilled by Amazon). If your ARTISAN looks remotely real (coming in any sort of box pretty much already confirms it's real since the fakes don't ship in proper boxes) then I'm 99.9% sure it's real as there are no high quality fakes that exist - if there was a high quality fake, it would make more sense to sell it as a different mousepad under its own name instead of as a fake. Q: Why does Classic exist in the first place? Why isn't it only Ninja FX? A: It really just comes down to the philosophy of Mr. Kobayashi, the founder of Artisan. He believes that stitched edges are rather pointless and he’s confused why the demand is so high for them because when you have unstitched edges it’s cheaper for both the end consumer and Artisan production-wise. Given that he doesn’t even really care too much about stitched edges, I honestly find it quite surprising that they’re still able to have top-tier stitching lol.
