what haircare products do you use to have such an easy comb through after washing your hair? I get terrible knots that make me nervous to comb out.

So so helpful. I and no idea of TE and you have been very helpful. Love that you give some direction to a dermatologist. Doesn't feel so scary now. Thank you.

What you did not mention is that there is a type of TE that is called chronic telogen effluvium. This does last and can also go away and then return.

At least on TE your hair will regrow... better than MPB

For anyone watching this in 2024 just know that there is something you can do for the shedding! I started taking a hair and skin supplement and it definitely helped. Of course it didn’t stop it completely but it definitely limited the amount of hair falling out every day which is the best you’re gonna get with this condition. Good luck everyone

Hello good day. I have been experiencing telogen effluvium disease for 4 months. I lost a lot of hair. I'm crying a lot. My psychology is broken. I'm studying abroad and I don't know the language. It's hard for me to go to the doctor. How is this disease treated? Which vitamins to drink? Which drugs are used? If you know how it is treated, please help me, I beg you, I don't even have any hair left, I'm in such a difficult situation that I'm studying abroad and I'm having a hard time.🥺🥹🥲😭😭

Thank you for making this. It honestly brings me so much comfort. I’ve been losing so much hair over the last year and my doctors would only tell me it’s normal and to use minoxidil leaving me feel completely written off and trying to figure out remedies on my own. I even started getting a sore/itchy scalp so it was pretty alarming. I think I might be nearing the tail end hopefully but we’ll see once July rolls around. 🤞🏼

I had a really bad virus with a prolonged high temperature and was very ill for 3 months. 12 weeks after my recovery I got Telogen effluvium. My hair has been coming out for 8 months and has just slowed down to a very small amount. I lost about two thirds of my hair so it was quite a severe case. However, my hair is growing back thank goodness. I didn’t deal with it very well and found it very distressing for about 4 months but eventually accepted it. I have massive sympathy for anyone who has this. Hang in there as it will grow back.

Even though I am holding my breath now, I'm afraid of starting my weight loss once again......... Its a combination of guided workout and balanced diet, I hope I wont loose them again

Hello everyone! Reading your comments makes me feel less alone in this. I always had such thick long beautiful hair. I used to receive compliments about my hair all the time. Two years ago I started dealing with Telogen effluvium hair loss due to stress and I was losing so much hair that I had to cut it way shorter. It has been a very traumatic journey. My hair was part of who I was and still, after two years I don’t feel myself 100%. I went to 2 dermatologists and I take supplements. Yes, my hair is better but still, when I wash my hair it’s shocking, when I wake up my bed and pillow are full of hair, and every time I brush my hair there is hair all over the floor. I´m taking care of my hair more than I ever did before and I still feel so scared every time I have to wash my hair. It feels that it doesn’t have an end.

@perrissmith8809
@perrissmith8809 10 месяцев назад
@@jfs5873 yes! Emotional stress so chronic that it turned into ptsd. You can have your cortisol levels tested, I suggest doing it through a private company, rather than a doctor, because the doctors don’t recognize stress to be a factor in my experience, mine were the highest they can be “stuck in fight or flight”

I am suffering from TE from last 3 years. Every year it's coming and shedding occurs for about 2-3 months. I feel like getting bald, too scary when I comb or wash my hair...hair all over. But believe me it grows back . As a guy I generally shorten my hair first, apply coconut and rosemary oil 3 times a week. Apply Fenugreek and alovera mix once a week before shampoo. Remain stress free..it will regrow even if you don't do anything

there's an issue with this video you said there's nothing you can do about TE but if the cause is diet-related, then you can fix your diet to fix TE

I am blessed that I have stupid thick hair. I have been going through this and losing as much as what you have shown in that bag for over a month now. I lost 40lbs rapidly from WEGOVY and a month after I stopped the drug, this started. I have also been under a lot of stress and I've had Covid twice. I am pretty sure its probably cause of the weight loss though. I definitely see a thinning difference. But when I split my hair, I can't really tell THAT big of a difference. I just know its a lot thinner than what it normally is. Its so sad. Can't really do much about it except wait it out.

Hey, great video! I’m so happy for you and your progress. My mother is facing severe hairfall as a result of a medication side effect and it’s really really bad. We are so scared to even touch her hair! I’m so confused. *can you please tell me how should I handle her hairs like shampoo, oiling etc how to sleep in such condition, how to protect them, anything will help me, expecting a reply super soon as you can understand the urgency* 😅

Minoxidil foam paired with Nutrafol or Viviscal helps. So does Iron and Zinc vitamins. Protein is very important as well. Pumpkin seed oil helps, too.

I'm a nurse, so I knew immediately what it was. I'm so sorry it took so long for you to be diagnosed. I was in the hospital for a month 2 months ago. My hair started to fall out about 3 weeks ago, and I'm already VERY bald.. I have a severe case. I had beautiful hair, and it's causing depression. I starting using Minoxidil. It works better on women than men. It won't help though for a few months. I'm also taking iron now since I tend to be anemic, which can cause hair loss. I wish I had as much hair as you do, so it could have been worse. You're still beautiful and don't look bald to me either. I can't even hide mine it's so bad. That large gap you showed us, that is all over my head. I'm sorry to women that this happens to. It's very hard. I hope you're doing better. Your hair will almost always grow back, which is the good thing!

I just stumbled upon this video your story is almost identical to mine I’m a nurse too but I didn’t know what it was I thought I was just having some light shedding like I did after Covid I was sick a couple months ago became septic and almost died from a bacterial infection I barely have any hair left gives me anxiety every day because I’ve tried everything on the market and nothing’s working I don’t really want to take minoxidil it’s not good for you or your heart and I just finally this week after three months have gotten my primary to take me seriousI live in Minnesota and getting a dermatology appointment is nearly impossible they’re booked a year out everywhere

I had my own expereince with TE in 2022-2023. My experiences was similar but my shedding waa extremely fast. I had an accident and shattered both of my feet. They were so bad i couldn't leave my bed for six weeks. This was in July. In Nov i noticed my hair thinning but i didnt think too much of it. Within a couple of weeks i lost more than half of my hair and what was lert felt like straw. I kept my hair line but everthing up top was gone. It was all scalp. I had juat finalized my divorce of 17 years too. It is very very unsettling to lose all of your hair so quick. Im 51 and a male bur a full head of hair and no baldness in my family. A lot of people just said get over it. Its just hair. What did you expect? Never lose you hair? None of that helped. I was open about it and posted on Facebook what i was going through. I did my homework - i knew what was happening wasnt normal balding. You dont go bald all at once and quickly. When i read about TE it made total sense to me. I read that if i started rogaine i would shed MORE and when i stopped i could lose what i gained. So i did nothing but wait. The shedding stopped almost as quickly as it began. I still had hair up front so i combed that back and wore my hair slicked back. Nine months passed and i wasn't seeing the bald patches anymore but my hair had so many different lenghts it was hard to know what was what. It hadn't been cut in almost a year. June 1,2023 i got my hair cut short and all of my hair had grown back. ALL OF IT. If you have TE dont panic. Its the most common cause of hair loss. Most times it will grow back 100%. Thanks for this post
