All this OR that queries (hope or hype) are false dilemmas. ALL of them. The answers are never simple, always complex. Even the human - artificial divide is entirely false. Human intelligence is always in environment, and because it interesects with other living beings (plants and animals), it is also shared. Well, animals are not producing information technology; men are! Human intelligence develops through stages, but it is also partially innate. It is both mysterious, complex and capable of detecting threats. Artiicial intelligence is a misnomer, an oxymoron, a mistake. What it is, is certain men trying to control, dominate or take captive all other men, by using the advantage of being in command of advanced technology. Human enslavement is their dream.
