Hi. New subscriber here from Aus. I have this paper pad in my stash along with many other Kaisercraft paper pads. Thanks for the inspiration. I've only ever made 1 altered book and it was for my great granddaughter who was about 10 at the time. She's now almost 15 so next holidays we may have to make one each. I'm looking forward to seeing the progression of your journal.
Ooooo..love these planner chats. All of those collage spreads...got me thinking..need to do something similar. I seem to reserve collaging for my junk journals, not so much in my other journals/planners. How cute is that A5 cover.
Yeah, you need to make more of these videos. I’m really inspired to do this as well. Been wanting to, but I was always thinking I have to do this or that… you give me a starting point that is achievable right now.
good to see you again.... sorry you are unwell, get well soon... cover turned out great.... the journal turned out great... tyfs... looking forward to final view...
👍 Fried Green Tomatoes is the consummate chick flick, isn't it?? An absolutely awesome movie that I totally forgot about - thanks for reminding me - i MUST look it up! Your puppy getting hold of that paper reminds me of the excuse we used to use in school... 'the dog ate my homework'. 😲🤨🙄😞 You're talking about your cold weather... Where do you live? We currently live in the southern California desert just north of Palm Springs but just got back scoping out the upper left corner of Indiana to move to. Temps were pretty mild - 30s and 40s - but I heard it had been a VERY different story a few weeks prior. 🥶🥶 I really like what you're doing here! Love the monochromatic -ness! Now I really MUST go get something done! Totally loving this mini-series! Hugs, MK 🤗🌵🤗
Thanks so much, I'm glad you're enjoying this journal. I'm really pleased with it as well. I'm in the Midwest and if you've heard that the weather can change on a dime, it's absolutely true. Yesterday it was about 60 and today it's about 18 degrees. And yes, we had frigid cold temps a few weeks ago. I am weird and I like the changes but a lot of people don't.
❤ Love this journal! You’re always amazing me with your creativity. Your next one should go the complete opposite full of bright gaudy colors, and gold, lots of gold. ❤
Hi Tammy! You showed up in my feed so I thought I would stop by and give you a sub! I saw that Bingo paper and thought how fun that would be to cut them out individually and back them for journal cards. This pad of paper definitely brings me some inspiration for my journals. I might have to check that out. I have only done one altered book and it was for my December daily and it was really so much fun. I enjoyed the video and I look forward to more of your creativity!
Oh, wow, this page prep and all the pockets are just fabulous! It looks so cohesive and elegant throughout - just gorgeous!!!! So happy to see this! (BTW, I have an unexpected little tribute to the Husker State in my Junk Journal January video today (Saturday) on "grunge"!)
love... love.... LOVE.... this journal.... would speak for it now if I could.... it is so lovely but not sure if that is possible.... haha ha... love the way you started it and your paper pack... tyfs
What a pleasure to watch this, Tammy - thanks so much for sharing! I love the new journal, but am also glad you shared the one that has yet to be completed - we all have those! Happy New Year!
Love Hobonichi!! We're not all one way of doing something..as creators..we are multifaceted. So if you want to share..share. Here for it! I tried the weeks for the first time last year..amazing and I'm definitely converted now to that system. I did try an out of date Cousin which I've redated as well...that one is just a delight for my brain..everything in the one book. Brilliant. I love my A6 Chic Sparrow cover..love the compact size and yes it goes into the bag without being damaged. I took it out when I was waiting in the Dr's and it was strange to me that I'm writing stuff down..old style and everyone was on their phones. I bought the Happy Planner for 2024 and now I don't know if I need it. Time will tell.
I LOVED my weeks last year. That format just really works for me. It's very compact but I always had the space that I needed and still plenty of room to decorate. I will definitely use a version of the weeks in the years to come. My main issue with them is that I like a Sunday start for my calendars and I really hate the red shading, so I have to redo all the calendar pages. But that's fun for me too, so not a huge deal. I fell in love with the Tomitaro Makino A5 Hon, so I bought one on Hobonichi day (among other things 😉) and until today I had no idea what I would use it for. The vertical Weekly pages will be a media log and the daily pages will be for answering daily prompts by journaling home on Etsy. I'm excited to use it for this! For my work and personal planning I decided to try the sterling ink and aura estelle planners. I love the A6 size so thought I'd try it out. I may go back to a week's, but we will see. 🙂
