I cannot find any info if these have a built-in microphone to hear without Bluetooth like an active over-the-ear pro does. How well can you hear someone talking to you with them in?
Love these! Though, after several years of use I left them in the case, in my gear bag, in the car one day and they melted! Stripped them down last night and remoulded with silicone putty. Should be better than new.
Not happy with em. I did try em. I have very small hearing canals, I was excited about this one because you can mold it to your ear, but unfortunately, the plugs are too big. Even the smallest.
I orderd these. I was dissapointed to read they are not good for sleeping. I orderd them just for that. Because i got small ears these seemed perfect for me. I was trying to cancel the order but it was too late. Now they are coming anyway i am still going to try em out.
@Pdiddi Good morning, Pdiddi. So far, they work great when your outside shooting. Me personally I don't wear them at an indoor range. I wear my walker razor slim indoor range, and those molded plugs, outside shooting
Why is this tutorial 7 minutes long and no final product is shown? They look like hard crack candy when you try and make the recipe at home and have no thermomenter. For me the plastic dried before I even got them in my ears. Edit: you have to use pressure to mold the plugs with your hands and fingers as opposed to setting them in your ears and allowing them to sink into the shape. Other companies have products that do not need pressure and your hands to form and this information was not clearly shared in the video. With that in mind, I kind of wish this was a 30 second reel or tiktok with a long form video for further information. This video feels random and it skips faqs that are sure to come up.
What’s the difference between the isolation and awareness? If I’m a officer who uses the these for radio comm… and get into a shootout.. I cannot switch in between the different versions. So what is the best for police/military
isolation is basically going to block out a lot of background noise kind of how airpods noise cancellation works. awareness you'll be able to hear and also hear more of your surroundings
One thing I kinda wish you had shown is the final mold of the earpieces. I've done this about 4 times now and realized that having the plug stick out a little helps when you need to replace them with lanyard one. Overall good tutorial though.
Got theses from BattlBox monthly gear subscription. Excellent product as I just wore them out shooting for the first time. When rifle shooting I wear both my electronic muffs and these plugs. Really assist if the muffs shift during shooting and I still have protection.
Attaching a bigger tip sounds counter-productive if the current tip is going too deep - Not that I don't trust you guys, but what's the reason that a bigger tip is better for this rather than smaller?
For construction, would these or the standard ones be better? I tend to work around loud machinery (excavators, bobcats, impact hammers, etc). I'm not sure if these would filter enough of that out, as it's not always percussive, just overall a constantly loud environment.
Great question! The "back plug" part creates a sound seal, so no noise makes it past that. The tips can be open or closed it doesn't affect the levels of isolation.
is there a "vent" in the earplugs to prevent pressure and suction in the ear? in other words is there a way for the pressure to normalize and stay equal?
Take a look at our acoustic filters. www.decibullz.com/decibullz-custom-molded-high-fidelity-earplugs-for-concerts-musicians-and-noise-sensitivity/ They should meet your needs.

Not having the two connected somehow will certainly mean an untimely end. Good information however so we'll see how they work out. Fingers crossed. 👍🇺🇲
@@Decibullz The molding process went fairly well although it might need a touch-up and I haven't used them at the gun range but I am disappointed that I have to go buy extra parts. Because all my other ear plugs are connected I'm going to have some trouble pulling them out and just letting go which is my norm. The nice little bag is perfect to throw them in and comes with the plugs. For what it's worth you probably should be including the cord as well. I'm thinking it would be a good business decision in my view.
