Frankenstein Trikes, est. 2006, is the home of the Frankenstein Trikes trike rear-end conversion kit. We are also the home of MC Worx, est. 1995, maker of custom motorcycles, trikes, and accessories.
Our Frankenstein Trikes rear-end conversion kits work for most Harley-Davidsons.
In 1995 Frank Pedersen started MC Worx in Olathe, KS. Over the years MC Worx built dozens of award-winning bikes and trikes and have had our builds featured in many magazines.
We even sold a bike to Brad Pitt after he saw it in a magazine!
Then, in 2006, MC Worx shook up the industry when we developed our Frankenstein Trikes rear-end conversion kit.
Since then, we’ve focused our energy on Frankenstein Trikes, but we still did few custom builds here and there.
But these days we are seeing more and more people wanting to build the custom bike or trike of their dreams and we want to be the ones to make those dreams a reality!
This needed to be done. It will allow a lot of riders to do the work at home. If a disabled vet needs a trike kit the kit should be easy and bolt on. A++ Frankenstein Trikes.
Absolutely, we're very excited to be rolling out this bolt-on, easy to install, modified version of the DNA! In our opinion, we made this product into something much better. Installation videos will be coming soon!

It really depends. Some of our customers stretch it out over a weekend, but some are able to finish it within a day. We usually are able to convert a bike within around 6 hours, but the triple tree takes longer and depends on the triple tree. Sportster trees take less time than touring model trees.
Ordered my kit for my 2004 soft tail standard suppose to be here tomorrow getting bike apart now like watching this guy work very helpful keep my fingers crossed it goes well
the one thing they probably didnt think of,is this thing would be incredible multipurpose vehicle, build a plastic, carbon fiber shell around this trike and ride in the winter, more than enough heat coming off the forward design engine, plus the best part, this thing would go through snow no problem, snow tire tread and weight over the engine, strange but intriguing design for sure
Converting a bike to a trike is expensive and you have a lot of parts left over. A side car is cheaper by far . They are so much lighter as well. Plus you can take your dog 🐶🐕 with you.
Our fenders are gel-coat fiberglass and are very durable, especially to the elements. They do come raw, so they have to be sanded and have primer applied before painting.
I have always loved the look of The Bolt ever since Yamaha brought it out. Seeing it as a trike fits it great. It's got the Sportster look to it anyway. Great bike.
The reverse that we have used is a mechanical reverse kit that goes on the right side of the transmission. The reverse works on 1988 and big twins. There is no reverse available for the sportster, v-rod or the Harley street. A bike with our kit installed is easy to push around. Our kit adds about 120 to 150 pounds to the weight of the bike. Other kits add well over 400 pounds to the weight of the bike. The reverse cost $1099.00
We make trike kits mostly for Harleys, but a few Yamahas and Kawasakis. Visit www.frankensteintrikes.com for more info or give us a call at (913) 352-6788. We're open Mon-Fri, 8 am - 5 pm CST.
