If you are having problems with the laser engrave with the blue light. instead of doing 2 passes with the blue light, try doing a second pass with the ir laser as it really cleans up the engrave
Thanks for showing this. I have the same laser. How are you focused so far away? Did you change the lens on the laser? Mine has to be practically touching whatever it is lasering. Very annoying and is really my main complaint about this laser.
Is it possible to do a full wrap using D1 10W on the 40oz tumblers? I’m having a lot of issues because of the tapered part that is further from the laser 😔
Unfortunately there is no “set time” it really depends on settings (everyone I know has their own settings they prefer after experimentation) and complexity of design
You might want to take your time when uploading your video, and double check the upload quality, some of your most recent videos are uploaded with a max resolution of 240p, which would be ok if it were still 1999.
If you run a second pass on the F1 using the IR laser at half the power of the Diode and leave the other settings the same, the IR laser will clean up the engrave leaving it nice and shiny without the need to use the magic eraser sponge which can dull the finish the cups.
Yes I order in bulk as I typically have a lot of large orders for businesses. So there are a few options -Chinese distributors, Amazon wholesale, faire. There’s quite a lot of business sources even local stores have deals on Stanley brands if I have orders for those
the enterior tile under the F1 removes to balance the RA2 on. Use the notches on the pad to line the RA2 striaght. Settings for F1 RA is blue light: 80 power, 400 speed, 300 lines per inch. then second pass is IR 40 power, 400 speed, 300 lines per inch. makes real crisp lines.
The cup is too large to spin on the rotary without taking the handle off. Some cups handles won’t come off then that limits engraving choices so the handle doesn’t hit the gantry on a larger laser or in this case won’t spin under the galvo (lasers).
Awesome work! How long does it take for the top part please? I recon 30 min? Also what are dimensions for the top part. I have f1 and wanna try tomorrow but not sure what’s the design dimensions to put on top?
Yes about 30 min but I do 2 passes so it’s just a little longer. On the F1 if you choose cylindrical the settings are preset. When you frame it will show you exactly how large your design will print
I haven’t had any issues with words coming out backwards but when I have an issue I double check the direction on my design to ensure it’s correct, then I check updated in software and connectivity of rotary to laser
Hi my power is always 100 it’s my speed I adjust depending on how close you have the laser to the cup, my laser has to clear the pegs that stick out from where I remove the handle
I recently purchased the Xtool M1 with the RA2 Pro. I have been purchasing some tumbler designs that are already made. I have seen some say that you can tilt the bottom of the tapered tumblers like the Stanley 40oz. I have seen others say that it’s best to do the top first and bottom second but some of the designs are florals that start the stems at the bottom and go all the way to the top so I don’t know how I could do that. What do you recommend? I just found your channel today and I love it. Lots of the videos I’ve found use LightBurn and it’s hard to find people do tutorials on the Xtool software.
