being a reddit mod is all i need to know to not vote for this guy. The cancerous mods have absolutely destroyed that board and banned anyone with a dissenting opinion over the trans issue. Its a graveyard now.
What I personally am looking for in my 2024 PDGA board of directors. #1. Work experience. You have to have had a "real" job. Might be a silly expectation but it isn't uncommon for this younger generation to be in school for the first 25+ years of their lives. There is quite a difference in ones personal character development once you are on your own and paying your own way in life. Also, what kind of a job you have will most likely show how you work. #2. Age/life experience. The older I personally get (38) the more I realize how wrong or naive I was about life. I think if we are all honest with ourselves, we would all agree that the older we are, the more opportunities there are to make wiser choices. However, I have noticed that once people get too old, it is harder for them to relate to the younger and larger group of people as a whole. #3. Volunteer experience. This sport is build on the backs of people who love the sport and who are willing to give of their time and energy to grow the sport. You need to involved. The more different aspects of volunteering in disc golf, the better. While being a longstanding member of a board is good, I would like to see more. The more disc golfers that you rub shoulders with, the more that you will be able to relate to our struggles and what we would want. #4. TD experience. Being a TD is also a very critical component especially for being on the PDGA board. You need certain qualities to be a good TD. Some people have it and some do not. I think it would be good for most Board members to have this experience. #5. I want someone who will have the guts to speak and stand by what the PDGA members say. I am sure we have all heard the term, go woke, go broke. I want my board members who are willing to stand and be OUR voice. The Majorities voice. Too many times good things have been squandered because of catering to the few. I love this sport and I want my kids to be able to love this sport too when they get older. We have age protected brackets, why not have sex protected brackets... and I mean that. I don't care what sex you identify as, what age and sex does your birth certificate say? This isn't rocket science people. #6. Ratings. I debated putting this in but I did factor it into who I voted for so here it is. I think that the more you know, the better that you can perform. Being a higher rated player generally means that you have put in the time to better your game. Obviously I take age and sex into consideration when I look at the boards ratings. I would rather vote for a 900 rated 40 year old over a 700 rated person 40 year old. We can still all play this game that we love but I think that being higher ranked should help with any issues that the more professional side of disc golf will run into. #7. Growing the game. What are they doing to actually grow the game? How many courses have they helped put in? Have they been the ones to start these undertakings or just piggy back on what others have done? Have they set up leagues? Looking back, what can they say, "I did that. That course would not have been installed if I did not have the vision and grit to get it done." Good luck all. #226678

Luke seems like a strong candidate. He defiantly knows of the struggles that other countries have when it comes to the introduction and play of disc golf.
My 11 year old son and i just went out for our first round. I dont know how he feels ablut the game yet, but i am madly in love. I can actually afford to play too. Its so wonderful.
@@Alyw14I literally got the exact same trophy for getting 2nd at a B tier in MP50. The point is, the trophy should be bigger AND better for the daggum World Champ.
What do you mean Ohn "knows she can't throw 320' "? I know this is masters but she is still one of the best FPO players in the world. I would bet $1000 she could get on that island backhand or forehand! They got spotters, she'd get her disc back if she didn't throw a "perfect" shot. I love Ohn Scoggins and am very proud and impressed with her absolutely dominating performance but I want to see the best play at their top capable performance despite the risks. Ohn if you can make the island next time you play it I'll buy you White Castle! 😂
Don't know why hole #7 requires 310 of carry for FP40 without any bail out areas. When your tournament winner just takes an auto OB the rules need to be fixed.
I feel like watching Jennifer Allen and Ohn scoggins play each other in tournaments it's kind of like watching replays of old tournaments Jennifer's drives and upshots make her seem like she can compete and the putting completely separates them
