I got a new X4 but I can’t set the headphones to any virtual surround setting. It just reverts back to stereo when I try to pick a virtual surround option. At 14:33 you show setting virtual surround but it doesn’t work for me. I only ever see two speakers instead of the surround speakers shown on your screen. I’ve contacted Creative tech support but of course it will take days to hear anything back. And I get no response at all from their live chat support. 🤷🏼♂️
Well… I went into the device manager and looked at some settings, but I didn’t change anything at all… And now it works. So the good news is, it works. But the bad news is, I don’t know why it’s working now. Here’s hoping that it keeps working. Great video!
Perhaps I am misunderstanding you but the way you just said "update BIOS and reinstall windows" is NOT how that works. You can update your BIOS and then go right back into Windows after the update is done and the restart sequence is completed. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE THE BIOS. I will agree if you don't know what you are doing in a BIOS or how to update it, leave the BIOS alone and get someone that knows what they are doing to help you.
Hello everyone, this is a real case. I followed all the steps in this tutorial as well. Before doing the tutorial, I also had the curve optimizer set to -30, PPT at 100, TDC at 70, and EDC at 100. I decided to restart, and the PC rebooted with a warning that my CPU had exceeded 90 degrees. I got scared and turned it off. Then I tried to enter the BIOS to set everything back to default. I managed to do that, but my CPU temperature kept rising up to 110 degrees. I don’t know if I’ve killed my CPU or the motherboard. Please, I need help. I also advise against following this tutorial with all due respect to the author, especially if you are not an expert. Now my PC is unusable, and I feel really sad
The good news is your max thermal limits are 115C where the CPU will just stop to save itself, unless you disable that in PBO by setting PPT to something like 180. I am currently running Curve Optimizer at -30, PPT and ETC at 100 and TDC at 70, it dropped my temps 13 degrees in Prime95 small FFT testing from 90C to 77C, so it works for me. You are either facing a cooler failure or there are some other settings in BIOS that are causing your system to overheat. My motherboard is an X570 ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, and I am using their EXTREME phase mode which uses all 16 Phases for power delivery. The binning aka "silicon lottery" of my CPU plus the capabilities of my motherboard will likely have a major influence as to my ability to undervolt vs yours. I will also say UNDERVOLTING does not kill CPU's or systems, it can make a system unstable and cause random crashes but its incapable of killing a system. OVERVOLTING is what can kill a system.
my son went to germany in the spring loved it. i like that cat. he has same mobo i have a x570s master. i like to over clock ram. i run 64gig on my 5800x3d tuned to cl16 3800mhz. i hold like 16gb of tabs sometimes lol.
Thanks for the video. For some reason when I use your settings, something changes where I can no longer press del or f2 to enter the bios. My rgb keyboard lights turns off and then the pc boots into windows. It seems that the usb gets interrupted. I have to short the pegs to reset the bios settings to factory in order to enter the bios. Can you please help? This seems to be a common issue with Asrock boards.
Guys outsite of AMD EXPO, Memory Context Restore, setting your fan speed and eventually PBO if someone like to mess up. There is nothing much to change that will barelly do anything. The most important is to choose a good ram for mobo to work with EXPO profile(yes EXPO because it works a lot of times more stable than XMP on AM5 platform) because it gives the most performance boost. Memory Context Restore and Power Down on enable will make your boots much faster. PBO is eventually and u don't really need to mess with it if u don't want. I didn't even mess up with it and my PC works flawlessly on ASRock B650E PG Riptide. PWM Fan speed is preferable to set up or just go with Performance mode. I prefer to set up 4 setting on different % depended on degree u have. Outsite of those, nothing else will improve your gaming performance. The only downside of it all is that ASRock Bios seems so outdate. If not the problems i read on internet i would choose MSI, but ASRock seems most stable for AM5.
HI! i have amd 7800x3d with Gskill ram expo 2x32 (30) , 650e taichi lite , wdblack 850 , and my boot time is 200 sec...! i already did memory context restore and power down Enable.. , what can i do?
I followed it just as you showed, and got permanently black-screened. Had to remove the CMOS battery and do a BIOS reset. Just letting you guys know that my computer did NOT like those settings.
You are reviewing a monitor, and the entire video is just your face talking, there's maybe 4 seconds of filming the monitor, this is pointless review. Are you stupid?
The SoC/uncore over voltage changed to 1.300 (red) when I put DRAM to either competitive or aggressive. Is there any reason why that would not be the same as in the video? My ram is the same except 6000mhz
@@caxx.g Well essentially undervolting allows for the cpu to achieve theoretically higher frequencies at a lower voltage. X3D CPUs run into a case where they are sensitive to voltages (on cache ccd) because of the chance of it could kill the die.
-20 not working for me getting bsod loops in the morning when I turn on pc .. and also my usb ports not getting power randomly .. Taichi x670E board seems really trash
-20 to -30 curve optimizer and you can cool this cpu with the cheapest shit and got better performance too. For me you talking alot of stuff what people should not activate or deactivate. Even saying reinstall windows fresh after bios update... Dude wtf is wrong with you?!
Love your video and everything works for me still,I have an issue though with my 4090,flickering and black screens.I did clean windows, drivers, chipset, and still nothing.Any ideas?
I have Asrock B650 PG Lightning after 3 days working fine, now yesterday going to the bios and after 1-2 minutes there the bios FREEZE!..Only reset pc going inside the bios and this happen again after try to save the options...this happen 3 times again. My bios is the last 3.01

Great video! I purchased GC7 model and wanted hear from an APEX LEGENDS player on how the software setting makes difference on footstep sound. I found “wall-hack sound” is well phrased😂
Wow Man. it was descent review of bios settings. I now have 7950X3D with same Motherboard and Noctua NH-D15 cooler i managed better stability from my system at 4.8 Ghz its maximum cause im limited by temperature. Last time i configured MSI Z170A mb in 2016 there were way less setings)) I dont understand many settings yet but at least for shooters it should works. Also like becuase i hate ASUS after my laptop((( Cine bench showed +30 points after optimization by your guide. thanks
Thanks for the wonderful easy explanation I have a B650E Taichi Lite motherboard. I have a high temperature in the chipset. Are there options in the BIOS that help reduce it? The temperature at rest is 75 to 80 degrees, and at pressure time it is 85 to 88
