I accidentally activated a strobe feature where it cycled through all of the colors. I don’t know how to do it again. Do you knows what you have to do on the remote to activate that feature?
I bought this in order to use with the Nymane up down light with a standard GU10 bulb. However it does not dim the bulb. Do you know what the problem might be?
@@oudoulj yes they are. I finally figured it out after much trial and error. I should have just used Phillips smart bulbs from the very beginning. Would’ve saved me time and lots of headache. No need for the IKEA bulb or the remote
@@SilverbugInc So you went from wifi (Wiz) to Zigbee (Philips Hue) which is a smart(home ^^) choice (Zigbee being faster and more reliable than wifi - local vs cloud)
Hello! I've been using the old round TRADFRI Remote for my LINDSHULT cabinet lights (including TRADFRI driver) until today. It has now broken. Can I simply replace the old TRADFRI Remote with the STYRBAR? I mean, is it compatible with the TRADFRI driver?
Hey, nice piece. One question from someone who knows little about these things, so forgive me if the question is stupid... if I have the right IKEA bulb for this (let"s suppose I buy the "starter set" which contains both a bulb and a remote), can I use the bulb in any socket, including traditional "dumb" sockets, or non-smart standing/desk lamps? Also, am I correct in assuming the remote holder is not needed for the remote to function, so I can skip installing it on the wall if I don't need it?
Yea, the bulb is smart, it only needs power - so "dumb" sockets are the only thing needed. And the remote only needs batteries, other than that it works wirelessly and you don't need to mount it to the wall.
The cöcksucking pairing-button is inside, near the batteries, u hafta open that motherfvcking lid up, why almost nobody shows this in any video is unbelievable...

I bought one today for 49 euro in the Netherlands. I was surprised of the sound quality coming out of this thing. A very nice 360⁰ effect too. For me it looks more like a helmet. Now I have a speaker for my balcony wich can stay there...
i just bought this, and i saw that it was compatible with the ikea home app, now cause i already have a google home installation and hue lights aren't as affordable, I figured i would be able to connect the two cause it said so on the website, however. i didn't know that you also had to buy the hub from ikea itself, do you perhaps know a way to bypass this?
