Excellent video! I totally agree with all your points. I love IOI as a whole, but they can make some odd decisions that hardly benefit anyone. We all know they are making Project 007, but the lack of new content mixed with recycled content is just staggering. There is so much untapped potential here. Most of the new challenges are just too simple with dull unlockables. I remember the days of HITMAN 2016 that actually had interesting challenge packs. They made you rethink your approach, do stuff that you normally wouldn’t do. Now it’s like “Poison that target with this” type of stuff, which most people have done in advance. How is that a challenge? The only reason I would criticize IOI would be because I adore HITMAN WOA. It’s probably my favorite game ever. There’s literally no other game like it. But who are they fooling by having us pay for an Irish kettlebell? It's just cringe.
Part of the problem I had with older challenge packs was that a good majority of them were just random tasks that felt out of place half the time. Even something like the Master Fortune Teller pack asks you to kill 5 people with a battle axe, which is basically Contracts Mode bait. Their difficulty was...inconsistent. At least the newer challenges and packs we've gotten actually feel like sidequests and stuff I'd probably want to do, even if they are still a bit simplified. Hell, before making this video, I didn't know where the Durian was on Ambrose because they're fairly hard to find without using HitMAPS as a guide.
I don't even know which version of this game to buy let alone care about the updates. Everything about the recent hitman game's attitude towards customers is just puzzling to me.
Very good video, and editing is amazing as always. Good and healthy criticism, though nothing will change at this point, probably, they are all busy on 007 game :- ( Also the part about McGregor's character - eh, who cares. For those who don't like him, ain't it a good chance, to kill a guy? Thinking this way
I'm really not of the opinion that "killing a controversial figure in a videogame absolves them of them being included". IO shouldn't be doing business with a guy whose wikipedia page is, let me remind you, includes sexual assault allegations and other nasty fan interactions. Not the kind of guy I'd wanna do business with.
So sad this is the direction the Hitman series is going into...Many casual fans are oblivious to this type of thing with IOI. Its been over a year since a large Hitman update, freelancer. Idk what is going on with IOI inside but they gotta get there act together. Haven't thought we'd be in a Hitman drought for this long smh
The company isn't particularly small anymore, and they have separate studio's in Copenhagen, Malmo and Brighton. They absolutely can work on two things at once; hell one of the business goals is to be a bigger studio that work on multiple projects.
I actually reinstalled Hitman 3 recently because I wanted to play some more of it. And then this update came out and I didn't even bother downloading it because I straight up didn't care.
The RU-vid gods giveth and taketh as they please, we all have to deal with it. I have a Ko-Fi to support me on if you want me to stick around: ko-fi.com/givedribblescoffee
And 13 months later IOI has fixed nothing of any of these flaws. They also have not fixed the many base game bugs (odd rag doll effects when shooting NPC that send them flying; NPCs seeing through things and/or suddenly rushing your location from waaay far away even though they cannot possible see you; UI bugs that interact with multiple things at once to the player detriment); They removed the jingle sound for targets in showdowns only for freelancer mode making showdowns more of a grind. The stock market thing in the safe house is total RNG and buggy where is sometimes will not allow interaction with it at all. I still play freelancer mode, I just used prestige level 2 and regrinding to get money is hardly the issue. I made enough in one campaign to buy most anything. There does seem to be a merces increase for leveling up. It's the prestige payouts keep popping up need for epic grade weapons that the suppliers don't have or are expensive when you only have barely 40k M
I completed Hardcore mode And it's still easy as hell. Some times i die but in case i close the application and try again. They seriously need to change there stuff and stop being very lazy with there work...
Lowkey you wanna know what I think would of worked better for failing or dieing on a campaign. I say you loose all your items that you took but you get to decide to either pay a fee which is the default half mercers and freelancer tools or you get to defend the safe house against guards with like automatic rifles and whatnot and if you fail that you loose all of your mercers and all rack weapons but if you defend the safe house you only loose the items you took on the mission and still have to restart.
So freelancer wall question, if I unlock the gun out have it on the wall cuz I bought the dlc if I die with it will I lose it? Cuz I enjoy filling my wall but every mission is osp and I’m not enjoying that really
The part I never liked was the target wasnt ever just "random". there was always something way too much more Very rarely was the target truly some random guy, it was someone in an area with the highest level of security, or someone in the most populated part of the map so you cant kill them without guns and alarms going off. Or my personal favorite, the target is a guard or a soldier, thats always near other guards and soldiers, so if you kill him you're at war, and he's never not somewhere there's other guards.
I brought the Sieker to all six missions, as I do with Elusive Targets, so I wouldn't have found any of the challenge kills or opportunities if you hadn't pointed them out. I also didn't know that old guy in Hokkaido just stands there. I just Sieker'd his ass and drowned him in the toilet. Good review.
Actually each of these targets have 2 challenges: SA and special kill (target in Bangkok have 2 kill challenges). The most infuriating kill challenge is in Paris, where the Director should be killed with lighting set
@@comiclizard9819 I meant specifically the assassination challenges. I got SA on all of them, which is why the Sieker is OP. The only difficult one was Colorado, and retrieving the files in Hokkaido, but even that I was able to do suit-only because I'm insane.
I think one way to mitigate the boredom of freelancer is to incorporate new targets/locations. Like I wish they would include Morocco and Sapienza at night and their layouts. From what I understood when the franchise got rebooted I was under this impression that the hitman games were to be constantly adding new locations and targets. I just wish I/O could turn this more into a live-service game and really push the limits. As for freelancer, I wish they could include what you said in here. Hell, I wish they would just re-release old hitman levels from previous entries into the new reboot and just label them as "flashback episodes". Since you know, this man regained his memories and stuff.
Honestly this is unrelated to the video (nice silent bank robbery, shoutout), but I'd be very interested in you doing a tierlist or ranking vid on hitman WOA maps. You clearly have the experience to give a well thought out list, so just wanted to throw it out there. Granted, it'd likely be quite a project, but it'd be rewarding and I'm sure it'd get you a nice chunk of views if you care about that stuff. Just wanted to throw it out there
I got VAC banned for life for being a pissant 13 year old who thought he deserved more kills than he was getting. I deserved that ban. But now that these bot creators are ruining more games than I ever could and facing 0 consequences for it, it really makes me feel like Valve is full of shit when it comes to their concern over cheating in online games.
This has gotten more views in the past week than the 11 months this has been out. The YT algorithm is blessing me with its gift of being shown in recommended videos. Thank you =) I have more videos like this on The Sarajevo Six also.
honestly I wish you could find a way to get more uses out of merces + weapon collecting without it being a chore you have a computer in the armory, so you could theoretically source what you want at base price, with there being special discounts from time to time during missions suppliers could charge more for gear if it's a last minute pick-up, but they could also reduce it if you assassinate a side-target or retrieve contents from a safe at the very least it'd give an incentive to grinding out merces & getting gear without it being as much of a slog
These has been very good ideas I've seen floating around on HMF since release, and really, I don't disagree at all. I'm also surprised to find that nobody seems to object in my opinion of removing couriers (The people you whack to get Merces).
to this day i swear having a real COOP mode for a Hitman game would be a real game changer, that way you would actually get something from REAL events and limited time stuff
Why did you dodge the lasers in the vault? Why not just disable them? You had the card to do it? Around minute 9 when dealing w/ the guards in the CEO's office. Lure them into the room using a coin into the wall next to the wifi w/ the door open once you get them close enough to hear the coin. The door will shut, guard will enter and not see you due to the door and turn to the wall for the coin. Close door manually and knock him out. Repeat for 2nd guard. I go out to the office and hide behind the couch for the 3rd guard. When Savalas finishes her phone call bit in the cycle, she'll head for the secret office. When her guard turns to follow, knock him out or tranq him. Hide his body and follow her into the inner/secret office. Shut the door behind you and kill her w/ the shotgun. That room is nearly soundproof. Also, back a bit earlier when dealing w/ sweater guy and the guard he's complaining to... toss an item at the trash can in the corner and body press against the left side of the door (as seen from inside the closet). The door will protect you from being seen. The guard will walk all the way to the corner. Knock him out. Repeat for sweater guy. It's a VERY easy way to knock them both out quickly.
Thank you for missing the point of the run. I wasn't exactly going for quick times here, I was just doing what a bank robber does. I actually did a variation of what you described in Savalas's office. Part of the reason I waited out her loop was due to my own poor timing, not because I didn't know what to do. Thank you for the backseating >:/
Obviously you did starting suit only but should be noted to complete the challenge you don't need to remain as the bank robber after acquiring the gun.
I think i see your point and as a player who has 2 accounts and played up to prestige 7 and 17 on the other i feel that rinse and repeat on the maps tideous - i can almost forsee the possible targets just by my experience and that's ok - i most of the time avoid SA prestige items but after prestige 7 i guess you get 7000 mercs for SA and SA/SO grants you 8500 mercs - thats very good in compare when you start the first time freelancer and get only 3000 mercs for SA !!! MAP knowledge is very much needed to get weapons for your shelves at home to reset and increase Prestige so SA objectives make actually sense to do so - the game has challenges where you have to finish at least ONE full campaign on HardCore and if you never played Story mode on professional (which is not incouraged anymore sadly i remember challenges SA SO sniper on every difficullty but thats patched out?!) you know what you face in Freelancer HardCore - as every guard can headshot you in 3 shots - never to mention Sashka cocain guards that pop you in 2 bursts ... if you go on rampage mode in HardCore than be aware to hit and run/hide and bloody kills ruin disguises :) but thats ok for me!
Magic! ...That and never changing my H2 loadout for Paris since 2019. The 12G shotgun was able to be taken as a primary for a bit until it was disabled as it caused issues. They never reset anyone's loadouts though, so it still works if you still have it equipped (and in my case, even if you do a save transfer).
Do you speak English? Have you played freelancer mode or even Hitman 3 at all? Next time you don't understand something, how about going into some detail of what it is that is troubling you.
