Thank you for this video. This was great! I have been strongly considering this bike rack. My biggest concern is being able to lift a heavy e-bike onto the rack. I really enjoy your videos.
@@randalyates5605 you would be leaning in the right direction. We feel Rockwood builds a quality RV for the price point. Check out some of our plant tour videos to see the construction differences. 😀 Happy shopping!
Rockwoood is now using waterlines & fittings on the pressure side of the water system that are designed to hold an increased amount of water pressure. The non pressure side, example: Black tank flush, antifreeze inlet. Still have flex tubing with PEX clamps.
The 2506 is a mini lite.. Here is the ultra lite that we are considering.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qIrmENRMk7Q.htmlsi=jmgrGqizE62ZMpgZ
Good seeing you two at the FROG rally. This is the first Ultra Lite that we would consider rather than our 2608BS. It would be hard to pick. I do like having 90 grey on 2608BS and the large bedroom. I am glad we decided to go with the Ultra Lite vs mini. A few extras and more room but still under 30 feet. For us, perfect size.
Nice seeing you as well, we really like the rear dinette with all the windows in this unit. This might be our next RV. Thanks for watching & Commenting
A large percentage of RV manufacturers were using some flexible braided water lines with PEX clamps on pressurized lines. The lines at the fittings would leak if the water pressure was too high, we had an issue at our water heater with a PEX clamp on a braided hose, I ended up cutting the PEX clamp off and installed a stainless steel worm gear clamp. The new clap solved the issue. Rockwood/ Flagstaff have stoped using flexible braided water lines on the pressurized side of the water system for 2025.
The square tubing of the bottom of the wall is filled with hardwood. From the underside of the floor, heavy lag bolts are run up thru pre drilled holes in the floor up thru wall. Lag bolts are retained by not only the aluminum, but also the hardwood.
@@TNTRVing thank you TNT RVing I think I’m going to get the 22056 with the dinnet and the slide topper and get a pair of small Honda generators. Love y’all’s videos 👍🏼
Alliance is coming out with some nice floor plans. We like our Rockwood build better, but they are definitely a nice competitor. We realize I say "slick" a lot in our videos, so we think people should make a drinking game out of our videos- shot or drink every time I say "slick"! (😂 Tina). Thanks for watching guys!
Another great video!!! We had a 2608 BS. It too had a front kitchen. Front kitchens add more tongue weight. Keep that in mind with regard to your tow vehicle. We now have a 2023 2511S. We are not a fan of that frig and its location in the 2506. The dealer we purchased our camper from knows so many of their customers (like us) boondoc, they have managed to still get the propane/electric refrigerators. 12 volt refrigerators don’t work well when you can’t charge your batteries thanks to tree canopies and when Mother Nature decides sunshine will not be in the forecast for a number of days. Being a tall guy I’m not a fan of the switch location at the door entrance. We like the fact that there is no drop frame and the plumbing upgrade. My wife and I give it a grade of B.
Appreciate the feedback on the 2506, our 12-volt fridge has worked well for us. We personally like drop frame construction because of all the storage space. Check out our latest 2618RD (Rear Dinette) walkthrough, What are your thoughts on that one? Thanks for watching
Thanks for the walk through great job. I was wondering if that bed is a true queen or a camp Queen, also I personally would rather not have the added door and just open the rack and pinion slide a foot or two to get to bathroom, just my opinion.
The camper looks great‼️From the video I can’t tell that it was ever damaged 👍 These two videos were really great thanks. I subscribe to both of y’all. My wife and I really like our 2109s❤
Thanks for the video enjoyed it! We are going up to mill creek campground next week. Would it be worth taking our golf cart to the campground with us? It’ll be me and my wife and 3 younger kids. Thanks
The campground is huge, so a golf cart would be helpful. Not sure if golf carts need to be licensed, double check with the campground first. Bikes would be good too, it's very flat so it's easy to ride around. Thanks for watching and commenting! Hope you have a wonderful time!!
Thanks so much for this video! Very helpful! I have had my eye on this model since the 2025 floorplans came out! I like how the prototype is lacking the bedroom door, I would definitely buy it that way. Especially since this trailer is outfitted with a rack and pinion slide which I can just put out slightly if I need restroom access while traveling. I also love the layout of the front kitchen and having an outdoor fridge. I can’t wait to see one with theater seats to see how it affects the driver side storage.
Thanks for watching and commenting . The rear access door is a sure thing once they start production. Good question about the storage if you get the theater seating. You would lose all the outside storage (under the dinette) and the drawers space in the dinette. Safe travels!
Rockwood should follow Lance travel trailers lead by switching out the front automotive glass with Acrylic instead. Acrylic is more resistant to impact than glass. 17 times stronger. Is half the weight of glass, has better thermal conductivity than glass, more UV protection, cheaper to ship and easier to use in large frames.
Thank you so much for your reviews and videos. Just newly subscribed. Love seeing the storage ideas and products you use. We purchased 2024 Mini Lite 2515S in June. I guess you can say we are frog now 😂.
OK, but not seeing any real benefits over my 2205S. Seems like a few misses as well. As mentioned, lousy travel access is big. Also, black and gray water dumps under the slide is very cumbersome. If we have sewer on-site, I normally open the dumps every few days vs. leaving them always open, so there's not "stuff" sitting in the hoses. Might just be a perspective thing, but the fridge doors look awful close to the counters when opened. Also wish Rockwood would go to 2-burner stoves. Nevet use 3, and that gets more counter space. Just my 2¢.
Thanks for watching and commenting. With the additional entry door in the bedroom (which is how they are going to come) you will be able to access the bathroom from the rear door. Agree with you about the sewer. We like the separation of space. Safe travels!
It would be nice if they would let you take it out for a couple trips, maybe one at a campground with full hookup, and one boondocking with less amenities to see how shakes out. Thanks for another informative video.
We looked at the old version of the 2506. Not being able to access the bathroom and the bedroom with the slid in was a deal breaker. Plus the old bathroom layout was cramped around the toilet. With a door in the bedroom, that would solve our dislike. Rockwood did a great job on the redesign.
We bought a cheaper camera off of amazon to replace our crapped out furrion and it didn't work. We have a 28' trailer and a Nissan Titan XD, so I am guessing the length is about 45'. The camera initially got a good signal and pic, but then it lost the signal and never regained. I am leery of buying another one, but it sounds like yours works great, so we may have to try it.
Our camera works well, if you are a little too far away they have a remote antenna to help with the signal. So far we have been happy with it.. Appreciate you watching & commenting..
Checked out your and Stressless RV videos. Interesting idea doing them together to see the differences. Our setup (also a 2205S) is similar to yours, but we picked up a few good ideas from looking at the inside of yours, so thanks for that. Heading to Hocking Hills next week. Still hoping to see you two one of these days. Stay safe.
For me and hubby we like towing small trailers. We don’t need fifth wheels or big long trailers with several slide outs . All I need is space form my towels, pots and pan . I’m a minimalist. These small rockwoods offer plenty space for our needs. I sold our 2516s mini lite because I didn’t care for the second bed slide out.although we loved the floor plan. We’re looking into the 2511s as spacious as the 2516 . We’re loosing counter space , no big deal. I love your floor plan because it’s smaller but spacious and has plenty storage. I’m still deciding. We don’t desire big trailers. We just need a comfortable bed and a nice size bathroom and room for our stuff we use for camping. We spent a lot of time outside. I love the true off-road trailers their like 19 to 20 feet and are built to be on rough dirt roads . But they are very expensive.
We love our Rockwood Mini Lite 2205. We may be looking at something a little larger for our next unit. Rockwood has some great floor plans coming out for 2025
@@TNTRVing How exiting. The only thing I don’t like is the sliding door in the 2511s , I wish it had a regular door. Which floor plan are you interested in purchasing for your next trailer?
Rockwood does a great job! Let's Go Rockwood!!! Be sure to check out some of our other videos, we have multiple plant tour videos that share how they build them better!
We have the same Rockwood except we have that stupid fireplace and dumb radio (which is awful and it does not even work with the tv like it is suppose to.) You have the extra cabinet and doors in its place good. thanks Charley in Ocala
I wish my WIFI Ranger reset that fast. Every "Save Change" took longer than this video... Great Video though, its nice to know I didnt do anything incorrectly
Great idea. I was looking for a pic of the water tank vent line. It loops lower than the top of the tank, can fill with water and then gurgle during filling. My trailer keeps burping for a few minutes after I stop filling it. ugh. Think I'll add the straps and raise the fill and vent line while I'm there.
lol 😂…yep, odd placement for the TV, but not sure where else you could put it. Earlier comment removed because we thought it was the 2515 not the 2513….they run together sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Tell me more about your igniter. We just bought a 2021 and this stove igniter does not work. The spring is missing out of the part that unscrews off of the stove. At least I believe there is a missing spring. Is it possible you could tell me more about this I am just, ignorant the igniter.
