Plantation Original Rum now called Planteray is the best with coke - it's got an unmatched texture and flavor that makes it by far the best. Bacardi is garbage.. You my friend are going pure hombre with all your tasting - nice
Can't stand spiced rums. This was interesting to watch. I usually drink El Dorado 12yr or Barbancourt 8yr. If you got any suggestions for good rums that drink straight, im all ears.
I hear you. The spiced rums are more towards the unaged rums in their uses. I also like the El Dorado rums but for sipping straight I prefer pot still, mostly Jamaican rums for the more interesting flavors. Like Smith & Cross. Just overly oaky isn't my thing right now. I'm going to try some overproof Jamaican rums soon and see how I like them, I haven't had any yet that I can remember.
i love your presentation style. you are hilarious to watch and i cant really pinpoint why, but you look like that guy from high school thats always partying and a party is shit if hes not there. basically you are irl version of stiffler from american pie
Not sure how your channel showed up in my feed other than being a bourbon fan. Subbed to help you grow your channel and see where you take it but I am setting up a similar plan with bottles for group whiskey nights. Cheers!
This will be interesting... maybe make some notes when you use each one on what you think the price is on what you're tasting. It would be interesting to see what sort of correlation exists (or doesn't) between what a blind tasting and what the actual cost is. I'm curious how much of the taste compares to actual flavor versus perceived value of what we drink (based on price, fancy bottle, etc.).
@@mprooveit3588 Good idea. I'll guess the bottle price in the future. I already have a chart going for my blind rating on one axis and price on the other to see if there is a correlation. Need more data.
Ginebra does what it promises for a very low price and thats the only thing its good at. If the goal is to get drunk on cheap, Ginebra it is. Personally I wouldn't drink it.
I had 1 liter bottles of M&R sweet and dry vermouth opened but not refrigerated for over a year. I just finished them this week and they were absolutely fine for my Manhatten.
Well if it is a business the goal should be to appeal to the widest amount of people. Start with what everyone knows like margaritas and daiquiris. Everyone loves the frozen blended versions too. As for the locals, I'm not sure but I would guess having low cost options would be good.
