Taking The Lead, Inc. (TTL) uses an 80 acre working farm in Freeland, MD to provide animal-assisted therapy and vocational training to adults and children with disabilities to help them achieve independence and succeed. Under the guidance of licensed occupational therapists our clients use the movement of our horses or other trained animals to meet specific goals or work with a support team to gain hands on experience doing a job they love with animals. TTL’s OTs integrate animal-assisted therapy into the plan of care for patients with Autism, Anxiety, Cerebral Palsy, Depression, Down Syndrome, Ehlers Dan-Los, Multiple Sclerosis, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other emotional, developmental and physical disabilities.
