Very creative. I'm using a Bose speaker in the same way as the sound for my new computer and now I'm definitely going to try it with the TV. I like your outside the box thinking. Can't believe this never crossed my mind.
I hope whoever considers to buy Sonos products should watch this video first, I am Sonos user for long enough I don’t recommend to get one it’s been worked over 4 years since May 2024 the last update of Sonos app my system failed apart. Now Sonos ear phone released my trust is gone mean really gone, I don’t buy frustrating products and I don’t recommend to my friends.

For me the Palma is mainly interesting because I read a looooooot of fanfiction, which is why my screentime on my phone is astronomical and my eyes are kind of dying lol. I think if you want to combine reading on archive of our own and apps like the kindle app or libby than the Palma is kind of the perfect device. I was also kind of worried that if I got and E-Reader that feels a lot different from my phone I would just not use it and read on my phone instead, because I am kind of a creature of habit. I mainly want the Palma to save my eyes and because I hope (that it'll it feel so familiar to my phone) that I will actually use it. I ordered mine today and I am excited to get it and try it out.
I got it about two weeks ago and everything was fine! Now for a few days it's been giving me this problem: the page doesn't update (see video) everything remains superimposed! ok it's an EINK but the first few days I used it without ghost image problems and it's ULTRAFAST.. Furthermore the update as you can see from the video seems weak! Defective unit? software problem? meh! I liked it so much that I even left a positive review on Amazon. I got rid of my cell phone and used it like an Android mainly as you can see! I put everything into it! then the screen started acting like this.. now I can return it on amazon but I'm sorry! I think they're all the same at this point! maybe if used only as a book reader ok but at this point I use the kindle paperwhite (which has never given me these severe ghosting problems)... see video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1BPdbTZ2rro.html
This whole shitshow is going to make a great case study for any number of tech and business based degrees. How to piss off and alienate your existing customer base, while also scaring away any new customers all so a product that very few people wanted can... kinda work. A bit.
Fantastic review with helpful information. I was considering a Palma since my Kindle Voyage is outdated, but still in great shape. I just wanted something more modern with a USB-C port and the Voyage isn’t officially supported by Amazon anymore. I also wanted something to combine the features of my reMarkable and Kindle, but this might not be it. Thanks for the thorough review and honest POV!
This was very helpful! Thanks! I wish I could've heard second phase in the two-phase alarm sound. I'm looking for an alarm clock that doesn't make the typical harsh beep sound.
Time to walk away from Sonos, I spent 25 minutes in queue to talk to support to find out Playlists are no longer support. The App was released with the Product Managers knowing this functionality was not supported. Looking to sell 14 speakers because the new app has horrible UX, not only can you don’t create or play your playlists but they have invalid use of slide overs that don’t dismiss via a slide down. You navigate outside of a slide over. This UX unusable.
Hey, friend! First of all, excellent delivery. I have a question: I've been on the lookout for a portable BT speaker that can deliver 1) clear vocals for audiobooks and 2) rich and balanced sound for occasional psychedelic trips outdoors. My issue with the Bose speakers is that they're all outdated one way or another. I mean Flex is intriguing but I can't see myself committing to a speaker with Bluetooth 4.2 in 2024. I'm quite impressed with Sony XB100 for its combination of size, design and price, but I'm not entirely sure about quality. I'm ready to go as high as the Flip 6 class, but I prioritize decent sound and portability over excellent sound but less portable. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated! (apols for the loooooong explanation)
Thank you, and love the question! I am working on a Beats Pill review right now! I think it might be what you are looking for so keep your eyes peeled next week. Also, I just saw that UE updated their line of speakers and added (USB-C thank god) and I love the wonderboom. Not super full sound but a great speaker at a great price.
Nice review! Just picked up a pair yesterday. And with the Apple Music EQ set to ‘Hip Hop’, music sounds great with excellent deep bass - not sure why people complain about there being no EQ when Apple Music EQ does the job brilliantly. Very happy with the sound for the price. The button controls are also very easy to use, in contrast to what other reviewers have said. I also love that they will last for years, because the battery is not being constantly degraded by being constantly charged to 100% by a case with an in-built battery. I have a 3 year old iPhone that still has 95% Maximum Battery Capacity because I only ever charge it to ~80%.
Love the tip! Also great point, I hate that my airpods battery wont last nearly as long as I want. When you go to Apple to replace the battery they just replace the individual airpod.
@@graysontate_ Yeah, I have earbuds with a charging case that lost battery capacity extremely quickly, compared to my neck band design earbuds (Beats Flex) that only charge when needed.
I opened your video because I have a Roam 1, and stopped using it a while ago. It was always giving me phantom issues, which made it too tedious to deal with so it never got used. Your video clearly explained everything I’m experiencing, thank you for taking the time to make this video. I’m glad it wasn’t just an issue with my specific speaker.
I was just thinking about posting a follow up. Still using and loving the mini. I make my salad dressing and smoothies with it almost every week. Beast just launched extra containers on their website so I will probably buy a few so I can store more in the fridge!
Great review. Another feature is the lids can magnetize themselves to the sides and bottoms of the container. This is cool if you don’t want to set your lid down on a surface.
super thanks for the great review! loved that it was about the user experience. nearly replaced my kindle for the boox palma but your review helped me decide what was better for me.
Really nice Comparison. Watching this to figure out if I maybe wanna switch to Apple Music because lately I started to become somewhat frustrated with spotify and i didnt even know the exact reasons. Now i finally know why shuffle feels so weird on Spotify and thats one of the things that annoyed me. One thing that i never really cared about was the lossless audio but thats because i also heard that its rlly not that much of a difference if you use bluetooth headphones and i dont use any wired ones... probably would need to try that out. So if you read this and maybe tested the difference between spotify and apple music with bluetooth headphones and can tell me if its a major difference there too that would be really helpful. 8:44 What the... i dont have these filters in my liked songs what the heck Also i never really used any of spotifys generated playlists i always make my own. The Social Features are the one thing thats holding me on spotifys side but when i think about it i rarely use any of them. The Friendlist, even when it was still there by default in the app, was the most useless thing ever (at how i remember it)... first, facebook.. tf?.. second, it never was anywhere near live which is kinda the only thing i would want a friendlist for. Jam is really cool but i rarely have a situations where i'd want to use it... also idk if this happened to anyone else before but when i wanted to use it a few weeks ago it constantly paused the music for the other person after like 5 minutes of their phone beeing locked and then they had to unlock and spam play/pause a few times till it worked again which was really weird. And then theres the whole Spotify Wrapped thing.. thats the main thing that i didnt want to lose but as i now know apple does it too... even monthly which i really really want now (and i have stats.fm for that for spotify but in-app would be much better) One thing that i see many people like that i absolutely hate is all the stuff thats in the player in spotify... its just too much especially when sometimes i just want to activate the lyrics view and then i have to scroll down because its not even on the top because of some concert info or merch or whatever... i would really prefer that to be an extra tab on each artists profile or in general if all that was only visible on the artist profile and not in the player so probably apple music is better for me in this case (i mean i really like to go on concerts but i never found out about any concert or merch over spotify.. i mostly find stuff like that on the specific artists social media) Also Podcasts is a thing a really dont care much about. ... Wow i wrote sooo much more than i wanted to when i started to write this comment and this is an absolute mess of a comment but im too lazy to fix the readability so fuck it😅 Respect if you really read all of that lmao
ok whew....just finished. Honestly you make some great points and I think you should try the free trial of Apple Music. Even with bluetooth headphones you might notice a difference in music quality because you wont have as many compression artifacts in the songs compared to spotify.
Hello everyone? I'm looking for any of these but need one just for note-taking, like appointments, self-reminders, etc. That's the only one I need to use. No reading or writing in it. In that aspect, which model do you all recommend? Thanks, everyone!
I take Boox any day. Boox’s size and more options. I can read Kindle books, Nook books and Kobo books on my Palma. Also I can listen to music without Bluetooth. Also it has a sdcard slot to hold more content.
let me just say that I appreciated this review a lot. I just bought the pink one of this. I work from home mostly and just work outside when my connection acts up or if there's a power outage, but I bought this mainly because my work requires me to work in a Windows virtual environment and my laptop keys are just not set up to make simple tasks like copying and pasting easy on my Macbook keyboard. I also have an iPad I extend my screen to so I can work outside the virtual desktop, so you can just imagine how confusing switching between Windows and Mac shortcuts is. I have a K380 that I tried to use but it's just awkward to use the trackpad on the Macbook while using the external keyboard. my plan is to prop my iPad on the stand of the Casa, beside the Macbook (it has it's own stand) and use the keyboard and trackpad. I know I could just use a mouse but it just feels odd to me now having worked with a trackpad exclusively for 5 years. I hope this plan of mine works
Thank you for such a good review. This is the best video I have watch on the Palma and I’ve watched dozens! I was on the fence but you def helped me out, I’ll save my money and keep my paperwhite!
The app was fine, latest version is just awful. It takes more taps to get where you want to go. Putting serious consideration into downgrading all products to the s1 app
It is funny to me that the goal of the redesign was streamlining navigation. After walking my dad through the update on his phone, I can report this navigation is not easier.
I love kindle because it can be used comfortably even under the sun. Sadly, it's too expensive and Indonesian books aren't available. I am not fluent in English, reading in English feels like an exam. 😂
Loved this review, finally something honest about them. I somehow get the complains of the AirPods Max being heavy but Sonos for being a $450 pair of headphones, the moment you touch them it just doesn’t feel like it, sound is great but I think the AirPods Max are still winning the show even 3 years later. This is just my opinion. I’m sure people prefer to use Sony or Bose as well.
Psst..I hate to be "that guy", but: you're wearing them backwards! The content button should face backwards on your right side. Thanks for the great review! Totally agree on the headband material needing to be replaceable. I have the white version and I'm TERRIFIED of it getting gross over time!
