Have that same bike, bought new for 1620 dollars. Tomorrow , June 11, I am loosing that bike in storage, going to auction off because I am behind in rent. That's not the worst, I am also loosing my Snap-On roll away loaded with tools worth at least 20,000 grand. Some person will probably buy my unit for a grand and my source of income will be no more. I am 62 now, what the hell am I supposed to do?. Oh Ya, I also loosing my other storage unit filled with tools, another 10,000 grand lost at least. The only thing I have left is my Sammie Longdog already gave away a 1971 SS Elcamino I had for 40 years. Ground up build and alot of $ in the power train. Why???? Because I am a automotive machinest or I use to be when I had my tools. Now my empty dead sole feels useless. I am done ,ready to move on to the after-life. Come soon I can only pray for😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Ive got one and it’s got about 42000 km on it and she still runs like a champ. It’s got some work done to it it tops out at 125kmh. In my opinion it’s probably one of the most reliable bikes to come out of the 80s
BTW, you definitely need to wear boots to kickstart this bike. Friend of my miskicked it and got rewarded with a bruised ankle. Still, when riding any motorcycle, protective clothing is a must.
I had one new - I rode the wheels off it on the farm for 10 years, I red lined it everywhere I went! It never broke down, never needed anything done to it other than chains and spockets, and a regular oil change. If you want a super reliable bike, this would be top of my list.
So did you get the trailing arms and all the parts off of a donor car. Like an Integra or an SI 4 Del Sol just wondering it's hard to find those cars around me and I know they got conversion kits that I can use my existing trailing arms just wondering which way you went
Hey I really appreciate it the information is very useful. I have a 95 Civic EX coupe and it's got the bigger brakes in the front but I definitely want to upgrade and actually do the swap. I think that's going to be some of my first videos on building the eg.
Cycle World magazine clocked the 1982 XL250R at 79 mph in 1982. The retail price for this bike in 1982 was $1698, and it appears in the movie Firstborn, released in 1984, if anyone wants to check it out.
Hey bro, I’m glad you liked it, I’ve got some stuff coming, couple hit and miss things, and I’ve been getting ready for my wedding this weekend. New video in May!
Yeah okay, interesting. Cheers for the reply! I've got one over here in New Zealand. Ive only ever seen a few of them here too. I wanted a coupe but I don't think we got many of them either (if any to be honest)
Had the 87 crx liked it rusted out but drove it coulpe years, then got the crx ,auto ,ac a Kentucky car not rusty but not useing it ,someday it may get fixed up or not .
Love how you put JDM from faces on your regular teggys.. 😂 PS the Hondas are very nice and this is coming from an Integra Type Rx owner JDM right hand drive cw... There's a lot more to the ITR than just the JDM front
I have over 20 k came in my bank account and I still wouldn't spend $1,500 on spoon calipers just f****** ridiculous and pointless And don't even come with brake pads get the f*** out of here
“Is it just me, or did the Honda red just look different in the 80s?”. You weren’t around in the 80s my guy, maybe would have been better if you had interviewed someone about this bike, who actually was. It’s a credibility thing.
Honda civics I remember my friend had a Honda Civic hatchback type R and people love distill that type of vehicle. They know there’s a lot of money invested swap parts from off the vehicle Honda need better security people are major car thieves. They don’t want to go out and work and pay for these stuff they rather steal somebody else.
Back in high school I used to hate Hondas, but I secretly liked them 😂 got my first Civic at 21 or 22, had a couple since then and looking forward to grabbing an Integra or RSX this year.
Hola, tengo los mismos rines de color gris y Plata como vienen de fábrica, creo que voy a seguir tu estilo, se ven muy bien, excelente trabajo el que has hecho
@@Backyard_Motorsports I’m going to look at em really nice ‘84 tomorrow. If price is right, she’s coming home with me as an Xmas gift to my self! Cheers!
Welcome to the channel! Haha yeah I know that was a switch up, it just worked out with the timing and everything. We like our Hondas here, but I try to show a little bit of everything when I go to other shows. Thanks for watching!
