This is too funny - I drove by there around noon-30 today, saw the folks working out there, and thought to myself, "Self - I should put the drone up & get some vid!" ...Well, I guess I won't have to now... LOL Thanks Jack!
The Redland / Firetower new grocery store is huge disappointment. The prices are so high... One item is $5.30 at Publix was $8:29.. $3 difference on a less than $10 item.. I hope they go out of business. If this place is anything like that, it will fail over time. - By the way.. the RedLand grocery store pizza - cold and over priced just like every thing else..
My solution. I have an old model of Vantrue N2pro. The old model suction mount was of poor quality and I was delighted around 3 years ago to find they had introduced a new "improved" mount. They are, I believe, on their third which is not compatible with the older model. I bought two for the cars and they served well until recently. One began to tumble down regularly until it has no suction and was useless. I noticed the rubber had frayed a little probably due to the increasingly hot summers in SW France. Strangely the other still works for the moment. I have followed the similar advice here and in ,other sites without any success. So I went through the "traditional" solution route. I bought translucent very strong double sided tape which seems to be a Chinese only made product from Ali Express of 1mm. I carefully stuck it around the suction edge and without the camera being attached attacked it to the windshield (windscreene). Holding it firmly in place for 2 minutes. To my surprise it has held firm with the camera attached for three weeks now in hot weather. Time will tell. The advantage of this tape is its not unsighgtly and, if necessary, can be removed easily without trace
If the Redland store does not keep their prices in check -they will go out of business. Sadly stores like this jack their prices up instead of going to a strong customer base.
Jack, you are wrong. That depression under the suction cup has the role of allowing the suction cup to catch a small volume of air under it, air that will be pushed out from under the suction cup when you apply it to the place where you need it. In this way, a vacuum will be created under the suction cup, and the suction cup will be fixed there precisely because of the atmospheric pressure, which is slightly higher than the pressure under the suction cup. What you are doing there with the lighter is ... pathetic. You can improve the original product, even if it is older, with a double-adhesive silicone sheet, which will increase even more the adhesion of the suction cup on the windshield. I wanted to attach a picture but I can't.
Earlier this week our genius road crews did construction on Jackson road taking it down to 1 lane.. its the detour for this project. That makes no sense -- -- Thanks Jack for the video!
8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness: the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Thank you for your kind words Kent, We do have a neat little neighborhood. By the way, I'll have to tell you the story about how my brother Mark and I almost landed at the wrong airfield too!!
Thank you for your kind words, Kent! It’s been a little warm here too, but not quite that warm. I’ve been keeping up with your stories every day, keep up the good work. I’m scheduled to be in Phoenix the first part of September. Hopefully will be able to have a cuppa coffee. God bless.
I've actually done it several different ways since I made that video 3 years ago. Since then, I sent the mfg of the unit an email, and they sent me one that you permanently glue to the windshield, that was about 2 yrs ago. Not a problem since then.
With The mold equaling one full steppingstone, how many stones can you make with one 80lb bag? And how many bricks can you make with per bottle of dye?
One 80 lb bag = One stepping stone with a little left over. I would take the leftover cement, using the mold as a guide, and make a few individual bricks (just laid out on the ground). One bottle of dye works with 2 bags of cement mix. I hope this helps! Good luck with your project!
@@earlwright9715 All around the area. I live not even 10 miles from the impact area around Lake Jordan. I really wished people who know more about minerals and gemstones were in this area. And the gold, gold all in the quartz around here.
