hey i don't think u had done anything to be guilty about the situation.it is more on him that he led u on by hanging out together, having a meal, sleeping over and did things a couple would experience. subconsciously u felt a connection with him until he threw u the curveball that he has a family. that was selfish of him to keep you around as a side thing!
I don’t mean to be rude, but I feel like everybody rejects everybody else in the gay community without giving anybody an actual shot… I realize I’m a 6’4” white guy who has put in the work at the gym so I’m conventionally attractive-ISH now… but that doesn’t do much for people people overlooking the fact that I’m feminine. I am not on grinder, I don’t sleep around, I don’t really even actively go out to try to find someone because all the places you go out to find someone gay to date. No one is serious.
I agree with everything you said Jon. It was much easier for me to attract someone after I started working on my body and getting fit. It's a confidence boost too. Btw, I have always had a preference for Asians haha.

I'm white, and went through similar things. I'm sorry for the pain you experienced, but, it's part of life and makes you strong. I'm gay and have never been a big fan of the "gay" community. You seem happy now, good for you!
In my experience it tends not to be many gay asians around and the ones that are tend to be VERY picky when it comes to looks and usually go for white guys and if they do go for a black guy it’s usually when they are a top
If I am hearing you right, you are attracted to the muscle guys (note the pictures you posted), which is why you are working out to make your body more like theirs. Would you consider dating someone who is 30 pounds overweight and average looking? How about 10 years older? There is no shame in admitting facial features that Asian men have aren't appealing. That is preference not prejudice. If you know that is their preference, why would you still chase them? Accept it and move on. Don't kick a dead horse. Stick with the guys who have an interest in you, not the one's who don't.

Honestly to each his own at this point. As a Filipina, I’d say that those who instigate this “No Asian” requirement are usually Asians themselves. So if this is something that Asians want to get rid off, it’s gonna have to start with yourselves. Don’t put yourselves in white spaces or any other racial space and then expect them to like you because ofc most other races usually date their own anyway. Find attraction and appreciate your own kind. Date the muscular dudes of your own race because how would other races be attracted to or love you if you don’t love yourself or see yourself and your own kind as attractive to begin with? Also, that picture you showed in the beginning wasn’t really that bad at all. You look fit and have broad shoulders. Maybe you wanted to add muscles at that time, too and that’s fine but you were NOT ugly either. I think the self hate really runs deep among us Asians as well.
