I added a 3rd key as the video shows but when I go to turn on the car it says “have transmission checked” which it didn’t before. I’ve tried unplugging the battery and clearing the DTC a couple of times but no luck. It does show 3 keys programmed though.
Figured it out. I guess the transmission ground was too corroded and gave out coincidentally at the same times the keys were being programmed. lol. Put a new ground and all is well now.
Know something ive found that works surprisingly well? Kinda goofy but get one of those backporch grill cleaner things. They have a scraper, a metal wire brush, and a scratch pad. The sides of the scraper have a little notch that works perfectly for going around edges like a valve cover, ect. Ghetto but hey I was shocked at how good it did when I tried one
you didn't bleed it right. there is a bleeder valve that needs to be unbolted and you need a clear hose to see when the coolant steadily flows out of that it while your car is running at 2k rpm for about 10-20 min. just putting that coolant funnel on won't bleed it out. Therer is a hispanic mechanic on youtube that shows exact procedure for bleeding. Otherwise, great video.
OLÁ Skill 10/08/24 Ao meu ver, o ideal seria a limpeza do pistão ser efetuada com produto adequado com ácido CRESILICO, ela dissolve a sujeira sem atacar o alumínio. A ferramenta que usaste é ótima desde que não tenha canto vivo (90°). O canto vivo é responsável pela quebra da massa entre a 1ª e 2ª canaleta de compressão de todos os pistões. Abraços... 90% of places you’ll take it too would see the hose is the issue and charge you $1200 hoping you know nothing about your vehicles engine. Then say some random shit about what wrong with it. Source, mechanic told my mother the bumper was “supposed to be like that” after repair. (It was hanging off the car unpainted.) good on you for being reputable
1. If you can remember, how many miles were on this motor? 2. Were the bearings and rings oversize or standard? 3. Would honing the cylinders made a difference in longevity of the repair?

Please help, I’m going to do a smoke test on a 2015 Toyoto, can I do a test without closing the evap solenoid. I don’t have a high dollar machine. Can I block off the same way u did. Which hose did u take off?
Incredible video!! Just the right details but enough details where you needed them.. Superb. I am going to embark on changing piston rings on my car after watching. If I had one recommendation, it would be to caption torque settings/ other vital numbers as and when you spell them out.
On the spider theres a plastic knob you need to unscrew before you can open the panel to access the battery. Also theres a top part you have to unscrew in addition to the bottom plate. Overall not terrible for this type of car.
