Welcome to M & K Outdoors. I am Mike and this is a channel dedicated to fishing and the outdoors featuring my daughter Kaylee and I. Kaylee and I love the outdoors and love to fish. We will be fishing for both saltwater and freshwater species in our videos. We are from New Jersey and will be fishing all around our great state specifically in waters from Monmouth County down to Ocean County as well as waters in Hatteras, North Carolina. So come along on our fishing and outdoor adventures and we hope you LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!!
I am going to check them out again and do a decent order. Do you still have time to go out one more time? It's a really busy month with everything else.
Thanks John!!! Use our discount code of MKOUTDOORS20, you'll get 20% off every order. I have a Tog charter on a boat in Point Pleasant the end of this month. I'm hearing the canal has really slowed up over the past couple weeks
@MKOutdoors Thanks for the discount. If you have a waterproof thermometer to check temperature you can see what temp they are biting at and predict a good or bad day. I hear the tog are now swimming to the 50-60' rocky bottoms.
I’m new to fishing for tog and did my first trip on Jetty at IBSP. Had a great time and caught so many with 2 keepers 1 16” and 1 17”. Did another trip out 2 days later on same jetty again slaying so many. Lots of 12 to 14 inchers and caught 3 keepers this time 15” and 2 17’s. I learned from talking to other fisherman out there that the bite will probably be good for another 2 weeks, they say. Based on their years of experience. That once the water hits under 50 degrees, I’m told they’re gone! I see in April the limit is 4. Are the jetties or canal as active in April as they are now in Nov? I mean, I will get out there to find out myself to load my freezer with these tasty fish, but curious.
Nice! They are an addictive fish. My favorite for sure. And yea they will be moving out to deeper water. You should jump on a party or charter boat for them. We have a charter trip coming up. And not sure about IBSP, but the point pleasant canal is pretty good in the spring. Happy you've been rewarded with keepers!! They're not an easy species to fish for. I'm still learning. Thanks for watching!!!
She was a nice one. Now there will be more for the future. Some people keep every female, 5 in October and two 5 gallon buckets filled to the top in November.
@@MKOutdoors I've seen this with fresh, salt, fish and crabs nonstop for decades. 3 bushels of crabs, 40 bluefish, baby porgy, 50 bluegills, 10 small stripers etc. One of the days I always talk about is when I was 10 my dad and I waited by the car for 8am to come on trout opening day. As we got close to the 13 acre pond in Verona a father and son our ages were leaving. They each had 2 or three stringers in each hand. That means 24 or 30 trout each.
Need a pliers for those hook ups. Our limit is 4 fish @16", so many fish we had to toss at 15 3/4. Black fishing is the best. Well done & an excellent day - Here is a day Black fishing with Joe and me, enjoy - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dLs20SLTnnc.html 🇮🇱 🇮🇹 🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸
Great vid's. Mostly fish BI. Took a trip up to the canal, could not find a place to park other than near the Bridge Ave bridge, no parking signs. Can you suggest an area?
Hello, Mike, -A great day of tog fishing. If you were there all day you would probably catch them nonstop. I will check out those lures tonight. I bet Kaylee will be there soon to show us her skills. Take care and enjoy those fillets.
What a day of Tautog fishing!!! I caught nearly a double limit of Tog, reeling in seven keepers. I ended up keeping three fish for the dinner table. It was not stop action all morning long. All Tog were caught on our homemade rigs and jigs from the Grip and Grin Fishing Company. Check out Grip and Grin and use our exclusive discount code "MKOUTDOORS20" to receive 20% off of EVERY order you place. Hope you enjoy this video and please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE.
Now that's FUN!!!! When I had my boat in Great Kills, I only fished Raritan Bay for Stripers, it's the best place for them in the Spring and early fall. I never had too much luck on top water, that's because I never really gave it a shot. One stick with a live Bunker, the other with a chunk, all anchored up at West Bank. - 🇮🇱 🇮🇹 🇺🇸❤🇺🇸❤🇺🇸
