Nice bunch of Mulies!! However I think those may be does. I know males form bachelor groups up until the Rut gets underway. If you saw antlers on some of them, I’ll take your word for it. Cameras can be deceiving. 😅
@@OnTheHookFishing even bigger lol because while I have ice fishing gear, no one ever wants to go with me. Besides, I’m usually too hyper fixated on kidding season. 🤣
There’s walleye here still in the fall!? Wow! And here I thought they all migrated down stream for the winter ❄️ keep on catching! 🎉 and I also had no idea that perch lived in the Whitesand. Learn something new every day.
It was fun we have caught Perch here and there but they are hard to find in the river and the walleye fishing has been slow bobber and minnow seems to work most of the year.
I live in red deer and had no idea we had Pike in that pond till this weekend, I have only been here just over a year but its great to know. How big do they get?
Such a nice video and what a lovely dedication for dearly departed Granny. :) Where was today's adventure? I am still hoping to eventually catch a trout but I know summer is pointless for trout fishing as they hate the warm summer weather and the bite is almost non-existent.... unless you have different advice?
@@OnTheHookFishing I thought it looked familiar! 😅 Thank you! My dad and I will need to try it out this fall! Glad they are willing to bite inline spinners!
That’ll be cantaloupe bud, can tell by the stripes and the leaves are different from watermelon Watermelon looks like watermelon even when it’s still really small, Try to prop it up off the dirt so she don’t rot, I grow my melons vertical on trellis or tomato cages etc then hang heavy fruits in nylons or net
I LOVE those things!! As long as you can find a size and colour you like, you will catch just about anything. I actually found a large pike sized orange and black one! haven't caught anything on it yet. :P Where is today's fishing adventure?
I've been back there a few times testing lures and yes, the pike population is very healthy. I try hard not to fish there too often as I have seen little pike fry hiding in the grass come September so that part of the river is actually a nursery. ☺️ They loved my painted pikachu lure.
All of our spots like that around here, are always loaded with migrants and immigrants that are always there .. We've figured out that they actually fish in shifts,to maintain the spots closest to the spilling ways..
It is too bad we don't know how the bass got there but they are all over the Lower mainland now not butch can be done just like The Northern Pikeminow.
@@OnTheHookFishing have a couple spots I would like to check out, no plan got lots of diesel. On the hook definatly inspired this trip been seeing how much fun you’ve been having since you moved. Maybe we will see you out there!
Super cool video as always! Where is today’s fishing adventure? Always been curious about carp fishing but when I see it’s just sit and wait, I think I would loose my mind. 🤣 I prefer putting in a little effort to make fish bite, ie baby pike lure for attracting bigger pike. 😅
