The Ethel and Herman L. Midlo Center for New Orleans Studies promotes knowledge of New Orleans history, culture, politics, and social issues, with an emphasis on civil rights. The Center sponsors events and produces programs that bring new scholarship and other creative work on the city to the public and it pursues partnerships with other cultural and academic institutions that align with our mission. The Midlo Center also connects researchers to local archives and libraries with relevant holdings and serves as an institutional home for visiting scholars.

Think about it why would our oppressors know or talk about all aspect of where we aboriginal and descendants of slaves down the line originally come from?
