Aerospace is an intellectually challenging, economically important, and exciting field. MIT AeroAstro's mission is to prepare engineers for success and leadership in the conception, design, implementation, and operation of aerospace and related engineering systems. We achieve this through our commitment to educational excellence, and to the creation of critical aerospace vehicle and information engineering technologies, and the engineering of complex high-performance systems.
MIT AeroAstro, which traces its MIT roots to 1914 (and even earlier if you count an 1896 wind tunnel), is the oldest program of its kind in the United States. We have a tradition of strong scholarship and solving industrial-strength problems. Our community comprises people whose careers have included astronaut, fighter pilot, Air Force secretary, NASA associate administrator, Air Force chief scientist, aerospace executive, and corporate founder. Our alums are entrepreneurs who start their own businesses; policy-m

Jasmin Idk you understand when you talk about diversity in space it diminshes everything you worked hard for and means you where chosen bcuz of your gender and color of your skin.anyway im proud of you as fellow iranian
Holy smokes Ive never seen people so full of themselves. "Indigenous people are drawn to the stars" you are people the same as everyone else. You havent done anything in your life to warrant special treatment.
7:20 I think NASA administration, JFK, Michio Kaku, NdGT, Chris Hadfield have spoken immensely about the social benefits of space exploration and how it can galvanize mankind behind a noble endeavor, true to our roots...all the way back to our expansion from Africa. Especially at the student team level, people aren't obsessed with the economic returns of small-scale launches. It's passion and education. Not "brave" to talk about this IMO...in part because I hope you're above giving a crap what some of the weirdos here are commenting.
None of these people should be there they took other more qualifying applicants opportunities through affirmative action. You can tell by how they talk, not MIT material!!!
if knowing these people are far more educated and qualified than you is triggering, might want to stick to facebook with your family members.... i am guessing they watch the same for-profit press you do. then you won't have to compare yourself to success 😂
@@yariktelyashenko3774 The video is not about science, its about students attempting base level science, that probably got in the course due to their origin and not by worthy academic achievements. Just being an indegenous person doesn't grant you the scientist title. One of the dumbest videos i've seen come out of MIT.
Currently enrolled in tier4 college for mechanical engineering and haave keen interest into aerospace , if anyone has any aadvice to excell in my creer please as here there are not soo much opportunities
I'm assuming you're from India. So, get good grades in college along with do some research/ article related to your interests. Present it to good space companies like Agnikul or Pixxel etc. And regularly check government websites for volunteering options. Good luck.
Funny how you can dedicated years of your life designing this wind tunnel for Aerolab and they can't even mention you in the movie. Nice seeing my design come to life though.
Astro is dealing with spacecrafts and space borne vehicles in general. Aero is primarily dealing with aircrafts within the atmosphere. The reason it’s called aerospace is because you need to know aerodynamics in order to execute Astrodynamics (space dynamics) and hence a rocket for example must pass the atmosphere and hence requires aerodynamics but also requires Astrodynamics when in space. Hence in undergraduate it’s called aerospace as it’s essential to teach you about both the fields. Good luck, I’m in the same boat as you
