Hello, everyone! My name is Maryam, and I'm a Persian Language Instructor and Curriculum Developer. Having been born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and later moving to the United States in 2013, I am deeply passionate about languages and the cultural connections they provide. Throughout my language journey, I have had the pleasure of learning various languages such as French, German, and Spanish. These experiences have not only broadened my linguistic horizons but have also given me valuable insights into the process of language learning. As a dedicated language learner myself, I understand the challenges and needs that students face when embarking on a language-learning journey. That's why I firmly believe in the importance of building a strong foundation in grammar. To assist learners in their Persian language acquisition, I am excited to announce that I will be publishing a new video every month. These videos will serve as a comprehensive step-by-step guide to Persian grammar.

Hi Maryam. I am currently watching lesson 19 and am going through your lessons one by one. I just wanted to say that I am deeply grateful for your efforts with these lessons and think they are incredibly valuable. I am so glad I was recommended your channel, and I will (and have already) recommend your channel to others.

Your lessons are the most profound ones that I have come across on the internet. The way you combined both formal and informal forms in your lessons is extremely helpful. Please give us more of your lessons and also adding some persian peoms will take this to a whole new level. I usually do not comment but not commenting on your lessons will be so ungrateful of me. I recommend you to everyone interested in learning this beautiful language. Thank you so much!

I agree with the comments below, and I really want to help push this up in the algorithm. So that's also why I am commenting. These classes are just great for almost everyone, especially if you have ever learned a language before. Your clarity, and your way of anticipating questions show how competent you are! Thank you! I don't really know how to use the Persian keyboard on my QWERTY keyboard, otherwise I would have tried this in Persian (perhaps material for another class?). Best, Fatih from the Netherlands

I'm discouraged to see that your channel is still gradually making progress even making such arduous efforts, I've not been able to know why. Whosoever wanted to learn Farsi, I've referred them here for the best explanations of complex grammar topics. I hope, in near future you'll make progress much faster and more students get your video recommendations.

I , however, just have one question , in the conversation section, the word گران is used to describe the restaurant, then in next line changed to گرانی. I don’t know why. Is it identified adj in the first and then unidentified in the next line? Best wishes and God bless you 🌺🌹🪴

@persianHow

Thank you for your question. Because the verbs بودن and شدن are intransitive and do not take direct object. The correct answer is: خانه ى احسان First the noun خانه then the modifier احسان and they need to be connected with ezafe. So we add a ى there so ezafe can seat under the letter . 🙂

Well done! I'm a native Sindhi speaker. Apart from Sindhi, I also speak a few local languages like Saraiki, Marwari, and Punjabi, along with our national language, Urdu. Almost two years ago, I started learning Arabic, and alhamdulillah, I can now understand some of it. Currently, I'm watching your Persian language videos, and I must say, if you know Urdu, it's much easier to learn Persian. Most of the rules and vocabulary are common in these two languages. Additionally, my knowledge of Arabic rules and vocabulary is also helping me understand Persian more easily. Your efforts and the way of explaining are highly appropriated. Love from Sindh Pakistan.❤

مغازه Does it come from the French word Magasin ?
@persianHow
@persianHow Месяц назад
Interesting! I never thought about it. Now that you brought up it might come from the French word magasin 🤔
@mingosutu
@mingosutu Месяц назад
@@persianHow The French word magasin, comes from the Arabic word makhzan مخزن which means a store. And the Persian word is a corruption of the same Arabic word. مخزن = مغازه بردر، داتر، مادر I think these words "emigrated" from Asia or even Persian into Germanic languages which include English, of course. These languages are called Ind-European languages.

@persianHow
@persianHow 2 месяца назад
Yes, that’s correct. آره درسته But remember in some situations the tenses and moods in Farsi are not very strict. For example in the sentence you provided the correct grammatical mood would be مى رفتم but if you say بروم also works because it’s flexible. If you ask a native person what is the difference between می رفتم and بروم in these sentences they probably would not be able to tell the difference. I hope I answered your question. Once I upload a video about past subjunctive I will explain these points. 🙋‍♀️
