Triangle has many options and the Bulls were able to use it in it's pull potential because of Jordan being a dominant POST player while also being an excellent onball/offball threat. Kerr used it excessively but had to modify it because GSW didn't have a dominant POST player. He used Draymond a lot for the squeeze cut like Phil used Rodman and Longley because they were terrific passers while also great at setting screens
IT's his contract that is the problem. Every team in the league i'm sure would LOVE to have him but not at $43m a season. He is paid as a number one option, but in reality he's more like a 3 or 4 on a title contender. If he was making 25m/yr everyone would be trying to get him. It's why i love what jalen brunson just did by leaving over 100m on the table to allow his team to pay other people so they can continue getting better.
Didn't realize I was watching such an unknown channel when I clicked on this. It makes a great case. It *should* have always been clear that a team like Boston could win it all. Such teams have gone far before. But you have to win a chip before the world can finally pay attention. And then once that happens, suddenly, friendship teams are everywhere and have been for a while! As soon as you look for them, there they are.
"When you have friendship, you create aura, When you have aura, you create a championship, When you have a championship, you create a legacy of that friendship"
Been a fan since 1976...that's longer than most players have been alive. Some of my idles like Westphal have passed and I'm still waiting for one.. just one championship.
It would take an owner, GM and coach that are on the same page. Can’t imagine any franchise today willing to make the commitment and have the patience for this. And you’d need well rounded players.
7:53 the power forward position sits near the baseline which is a big no-no in the modern NBA. But the best idea for the position in the baseline is to spread the triangle and modify it to make it more modernized. But a team like Denver Nuggets can actually incorporate this system if they know how to operate. They Gordon as a lob threat and Jokic that could pass in a high level and score if he wanted to.
The 11-12 Timberwolves were 21-19 and in 7th place when he tore his ACL. Finished 5-21 without him. This also destroyed his 12-13 season of course and the Timberwolves stupidly brought him back after just 8 months with Kevin Love already out for the year after breaking his hand a second time. In 14-15 he suffered a Grade 3 (complete, most serious) ankle sprain in the 5th game of the year. The Timberwolves were then TERRIBLE but they still rushed him back when they should have been tanking. After the season he ended up needing surgery, which meant that he was still recovering at the start of the next season instead of fully recovered had he gotten the surgery in early November like a real team would have done. Of his first 5 seasons only 13-14 was a healthy one. He was very unlucky with injuries and also unlucky that he was drafted by the dumbest franchise in sports. -Timberwolves fan
2021 suns final run was a fluke beat a lakers team with no AD and keep in mind the lakers were up 2-1 with game 4 in staples before AD went down. They beat a nuggets team without murray and then faced a clippers team with no Kawhi. The fact theyre a fluke was proven the following year when they let a dallas team take them to 7 games which shouldve never happened 😂 and then got blown OUT at HOME!
