MJ wanted the driving beat, Q and Rod wanted the groove so they took Baby Be Mine instead of this. I get it but this song slaps. MJ was known for stacking hard songs back to back, he had a James Brown mentality of hitting the listener hard with slamming tracks.
Man this man! Born with an innate sense to get down and party. MJ always said his mission and gift to the world is to make people happy, bring joy and entertain..i believe him..totally. He had such a gift to make you dance..his voice and interpretation has so much vulcanic vitality and tease for movement, his own joy is palpable..and add enormous amount of skill, work and creativity..there it is perfect Virgo mix.. it is such a perfection, your jaw drops and you can party hard, get a lesson and fun at the same time! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ love love love this song. I sometimes think..that...Qiuncy was great, but his party sense and the inner joy of dancing must have been kinda NOT there... to miss out on such gems...
Its a catchy song but I agree it wasnt good enough to be on the same album as baby be mine, thriller, lady in my life, beat it, the girl is mine, human nature etc etc.
@ClutchGene Definitely not better than Baby Be Mine lolz. Hot Street is another example of Rod Temperton's genius and Michael's talent, good song but shouldn't have made Thriller.
Should've been on Thriller 40 such a good song! I can kind of understand why Hot Street was kept off the album as every song on that album still feels ageless and fresh whilst this sounds str8 out of the neon lights of the 80s with all them synths
Even on Michael Jackson’s Thriller Album released in 1982, he should’ve added “Sunset Driver” AND “Hot Street” in his album would’ve made more sales for sure! He could’ve made an extended premium album with a CrO2 dioxide “cassette tape” like WHAM fantastic having an extra three more songs.
This song is supposed to be on the thriller 40 album this song is the best song ever I don’t understand why they didn’t put this song on the thriller 40 album
And he was fucking right, I mean I do not discredit the work their producers or some writers took decisions on the album, but nobody had more rythm than Michael himself.
@@Spider-Complexion This would have been better IMO. Some parts of BBM are pretty good but something about the song in its entirety just doesn't hit the mark.
