Mission: The National Safety Council saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads, through leadership, research, education and advocacy.
traffic delays has gone up 12% in my city. this is due to people using their cell phones at red lights and waiting until it turns yellow to move. So the rest of us has to wait for 2 sets of red lights. it's getting crazy.
Parents dropping kids off in no stopping or parking areas HOLDING up traffic and kids exiting the vehicle into the road is a huge SAFETY problem no one looks at tickets NEED to be handed out for STOPPING in no parking no STOPPING area's parents NEED to STOP in proper drop off areas
Some folks think it’s not a bad idea, however, to speed up when approaching an approaching train in the hope of getting across the tracks before the train arrives. It’s more a time saver than anything else so as to not have to wait so long at the intersection.
Here are some other causes of death that are preventable. Railroad crossing collisions. Railroad Trespassing incidents. Carbon monoxide poisoning. Confined space incidents. Trench Cave ins. Incidents at abandoned mines. Attacks by wild animals such as bears and mountain lions. Spider Bites. Snake bites. Electrocution.
What a crock most of this is. I’m 73, have chronic back pain, doctors try to shove antidepressants at you. I don’t want to mess with my brain chemistry like that when I’m NOT depressed. I’ve taken them and they give me horrific terror nightmares. Took Lyrica, gained 20 pounds so fast. Ibuprofen/tylenol routine shut down my kidneys! So I can’t take nsaids. Not all seniors are alike. But we are being treated as if we’re all feeble, stumbling around, falling down and unable to think straight. You can’t just lump everyone into a group like that. I go to water aerobics and physical therapy. What I need is to walk and build muscle. It’s excruciating. My pcp finally gave me Tylenol 3. There’s so little codeine that it only helps marginally for an hour or so. But it’s been a game changer, taking the edge off long enough to get me out the door which was what I needed. Tylenol alone is a joke. It does nothing but bring down fevers. The medical community has gone far right on this just as politics have. Doctors are afraid to get sued, period. I had no quality of life until my doctor gave me the Tylenol 3 (I take ONE per day), now I’m able to exercise more. You must treat patients as individuals! Ibuprofen should be by prescription only. That’s dangerous stuff! I’ve taken opiates. After 3 level cervical fusion. I was overprescribed like mad so yes I got addicted. I also am smart enough to figure out how to wean myself off, which I did. It wasn’t that hard, just one less per day each week until I was off of them. Chronic pain is real and cutting off any actual help is criminal. You’re all just afraid of lawsuits. Please stop giving people antidepressants - and teach them how to wean off if an opioid is prescribed rather than just dumping them into a never land of pain with NOTHING. That’s just plain cruel. Most people my age are smarter than you think. Btw yes you are boring, write the speech and let someone else give it, sorry! You knew that. This is the only bad review I’ve ever felt that I had to give.

Worst ceo in Jnj history. Massive number of product recalls. Off label marketing false product claims bribery. Developing talc crisis opioid marketing and supply. Overpaid for Pfizer otc business
Texting and driving must to stop. Way too many people causing accidents while dragging innocent lives with their lack of responsibility. To those that never believed in robots and technology controlling us, they cell phone prove them wrong.
What the rule of thought under his lecture is acetaminophen 500mg is stronger than 10mg oxy- 1000mg acetaminophen? The math ain’t mathing. Then again he did move into the drug addiction field so understandably bias.
