Hi! I study English too. I will write my Bachelor's degree in literary studies this academic year actually and I am a little bit scared of it and excited at the same time. I like the style of your videos, so I subscribed :D
Oh wow, thank you so much! This truly made my day!! And good luck with your Bachelor's degree - it can definitely be a scary process but I remember mine also as exciting, fun and enriching. You'll come out of it immensely wiser. You got this! 🤍
Hey there! My laptop is a Surface Pro 7, so it's a pretty old one (I think we are now at the 10?). I got it back during the pandemic for online classes, and since then it has never given me any problem...and it has survived through A LOT of zoom classes and a thesis. It has recently started to have some overheating issues but that's normal and easily fixable with a bit of compressed air and a good clean. I hope that's helpful!! 🤍
Hey there, thank you so much for watching! This video was shot a couple of weeks ago now but I still hope that it's interesting to you. See you soon! 🤍
Hey, there! Thank you so much for watching! I know that some people are still struggling with the last exams of the year. This video is for you, so we can be a bit less lonely now that we might feel like we are the only ones still going through exams. Keep going, you can do it! 🤍
Ultimately all we think we know comes from an Icelandic politician who belonged to a different religion and was writing everything down 300 years after people stopped believing in this stuff. It’s entirely possible that the Norse people believed totally different things than we think they did
Yes!! Exactly, you are so right! Norse culture was oral for most of its history, and so much has been lost since those days. Also, Snorri's Edda was just a collection of what he thought were the most interesting stories for his (political and poetical) purposes. Which is why I am so open to modern reinterpretation rather than blindly following the "canon". It's what they would have done back then. Thank you for your comment, it gives so much to think about!
Hey there, thank you so much for watching! 🤍 Let me know if you'd like a video on how I approach my academic readings, especially for dissertation or essay writing. I can totally do that for you if you're interested!
Hey there, it's Mars! I know that the last clips are super dark, but I wanted to reassure that I am NOT reading with lights that low! My salt lamp is really bright, but my camera is too crappy in slightly lower light. rip.
