This truck requires very little, metal drive shafts and new tires/battery are the only mandatory upgrades in my opinion. Anything beyond is your own style.
I don't understand why they put those gearboxes into production without actually testing the fitment. I just got my metal gearbox in the mail and I noticed that one of the bearing seats is on the outside of the gearbox. How the heck is the bearing supposed to stay in place. Haven't checked yet but I hope the gear pins aren't loose and floppy like yours. But they probably are 😥
because I'm planning to use 1000kv 😅 so to confirm even it's 2000kv it's still slow? does it have punch enough? looking forward seeing your other video using 3s lipo
@@johnalexanderayudan9229 I do have all metal upgrades so it adds a lot of weight, I do have slow crawl and torque however, the stock motor I measured 2400kv 18k RPM at 7.4V to give you an idea.
I made it myself using a custom designed PCB, you can find the free gerber file on reddit and order the PCBs for $5 but now you can also order the complete light kit on Ali for a bit more

The tolerances are better on the stock plastic parts is where I'm getting at, the metal "upgrade" have so much play, I had to add shims, replace the bushings and whatnot lol

Using stock electronic as well, I noticed the brake light resistor is wrong, I changed the 331/330ohm resistor to 330/30ohm like the turn signals, to deliver 40mA into 2x red LEDs in parallel (20mA/ea)

The red links to the body? For the metal links, it's M2x5mm, with a 6mm OD flanged button head, but I don't like how the head of the screw acts like the bushing/sleeve, I got some longer 12mm screws and standsoff/bushings to see if I can be improved, 2x4x5mm aluminum standsoff for the screw and a shorter nylon 4x6x4mm to fit inside the hole of the body, once I get them I will post another video
