One thing I don’t understand, why can’t there be a functional fly on these. Same question for sweat pants. What’s the benefit of having to pull down your pants to use the facilities??
People who don’t understand how to drive shouldn’t drive. If this is what suits you, you’re probably a terrible driver anyway, if you don’t like to drive a vehicle or you don’t understand the dynamics at play. Driving a real car, not electric, not automatic, not self driving, with real power and real handling is an experience. This is just lame. No offense of course.
Preach bro. 5'6" here and it's been a quiet inconvenience to not only have not just dress pants but every type of pants I've owned after HS hemmed and /or tailored. From sweat pants to dress pants and every kind of pants in between. Yes, there are a few brands that market to short kings but I'm short but built like a man not a 13 yo boy. At 11-20% BF, 170 -200 lbs I have thicc quads and a 46" chest and 17" biceps. I tried Peter Manning NYC. Loved the quality but had to send everything back . Those clothes were trying to choke the life out of me and cut off all blood circulation 😅 Lululemon is greatly overpriced for polyester clothing but they nailed the fit even for the short guys! If a brand nails the fit and doesn't want 1st and lasts months rent then I'm certainly interested.😂
@@jonlaidonlie Yeah my weight fluctuates I graduated HS at 5'6" 115 lbs. Enlisted in the military and started lifting weights to deal w/ stress. Who knew that being short made benching and squat muscles grow like pouring water on a dry sponge?😅. Anyway, I'm always experimenting w/ brands. I find that many do 1- 4 things well and the rest is a pass. For casual wear Uniqlo, Everlane, Orvis, & Brooks Brothers, and Huckberry I suppose have been my go to for casual wear. If I plan on wearing anything outside of weekend wear, I 1st have have alterations done at the store / online or I visit either the seamstress at the dry cleaners or I see George, the tailor that take my suits to. Otherwise, I'll simply roll up my sleeve, cuff a casual jacket but all pants must be hemmed and leg openings adjusted slightly. That's nonnegotiable.
@@jonlaidonlie I know. You don't want to spend for tailoring for everything you own especially bargain or fast fashion brands but you also don't always want to look sloppy when you leave the house or go somewhere nice. If I could I'd live on a tropical island and wear boxy, breezy linen beach wear and yoga outfits every day.😅
Love how with a good sling bag you can just slide it , takes about a second, and you have such quick access ... will never use a clunky backpack again. and for guys who need a full backpack because they have some Peak Design clip with their DSLR or big FF mirrorless hangin on their chest, don't tell me that doesn't get painful and unbalanced, I know a guy with a huge Nikon D610 and long tele clipped to his chest and he has massive neck issues and his Chiropracter thanks him for clipping a boat anchor to his straps and throwing out his back, neck and all... sling bags are the way.
The Lululemon soft jersey would be comparable to the SPJ. The Vuori Meta is the jogger comparable to the ABC. I find Vuori superior in every way. The feel alone, V use premium materials where Lulu uses recycled polyester. The Vuori price tag reflects the quality where lulu feels way overpriced. 4 pockets vs 3 and lets not get into lululemon giving useless pockets in the new abc design.
Thanks for chiming in. I just tried the vuori meta and can attest to the quality you mentioned! I didn't know that about the soft jersey, I'll have to try them one of these days!
@@carlodelavera9735 I have one shot for the meta joggers, just need to edit and post it. It all comes down to fit. They are worth a try 100%, especially if you don't need hemming or are ok with spending a bit more for tailoring!
@@jonlaidonlie I might have mentioned it in another comment thread, but I personally think having joggers hemmed else where is the better. Lulu is free and that's great but they hem joggers "wrong" or at least half assed. They only cut length but don't slim down the leg to fit the cuff. If you get the shorter 28" inseam and need a 25" they're gonna look bad, it's gonna lose the taper. it's not the worse and but noticeable when wearing them so it's at least worth considering. An inch or so should be barely notisable though. Edit: I'm 5'10 I did this with a regular length ABC jogger, cut down from 30" to 27", they were bad and luckily was able to get a refund. On the other hand I got a few At Ease dupes from target, took them to get hemmed at the tailor and they came out great. Did the same with the Meta, recommend from experience A good tailor is a short guy's best friend lol
while the hemming is nice, they don't do a proper jogger hem which consists not only in cutting off length but also slimming the leg of the pant to match the cuffs. If you take these to Lulu to get hemmed more than an inch they'll do the length but not the width so they end up looking pretty bad
@jonlaidonlie if I were doing it again I might buy replacement hardware for attaching the rails to the roof. Whatever they're made out of is SOFT! Other than that, decent quality for the money

Hey Jon, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel
Ive been down a Lulu dupe rabbit hole lately. Check out the Libin 4 way stretch golf joggers. Just watched your Primos video too! I have all 3 now and think the Libin can hang for the price.
@@helsonly722 I get the skinny then hem, it shouldn't matter which one you buy. But you do need to ask the store if they will do it, only the bigger flagship stores will do it.
