I haven’t seen this yet, but would just like to put on record that Linford Christie was, for me, the greatest sportsman of my generation. His inspiring performances, generous personality & amazing legacy should definitely be celebrated more ❤
@@momscandaytrade the reason why I ask the question is to not spread misinformation as there’s no official report, that says this is the first Black British spinoff tv series
Yes he will because the majority of black British people are of African and West Indian heritage. He is the perfect mix of the two cultures. A show that is set in the Caribbean should’ve had a black lead detective from the start.
West indian background, it is HIS culture stop spreading lies, he is going back to roots like many British West Indians are and should be he is not doing plain British lol. This makes sense to us British West Indians. He is west indian and from (parents) near the island death paradise is filmed (guadeloupe), knows french creole, culture etc as bought up in west Indian household lol
Lol wtf? Backlash? The only, ONLY people that reacted to Will acting like a bitch were comedians. At least they had Chris's back. Just like Will should have had his wife's back protected from 'minor' entrances.
I recently upscaled the show but couldn't share them on here as they're all blocked. Thanks for your views on it though as I wasn't sure how it went down. Considering what you say I'm surprised it got a second series.
And what does the color of his skin have to do with his success? Wouldn't it be racist to give him awards just because of his skin color? He earned this through hard work. To then reduce him to his skin color is stupid and racist, regardless of whether you emphasize it positively or negatively
I too grew up watching Desmond when BET aired the show in the 90s. It was the first time I have ever watched a Black British show here in the states. I really ❤this show! Now I'm binge watching it on Prime Video...all 6th seasons. By the way Norman Beaton appeared on an episode of the Cosby Show.😊 Please Google it.
Norman Beaton An extremely underrated actor of merit along with the ensemble cast showed the diversity of colour in the UK . Yes stereotype characters would appear however it's depiction of racism in the limitations of the unknown. Became less clear as the public invested in their connection with each cast member. Don't forget, Empire Road 1978-79 an early BBC production that tried to show the lives of people of colour black ,white & red , yellow. The generation of immigration after world war two .
A little while ago, I discovered that the actress who played the wife also played the drop dead gorgeous Fariah, in the "Doctor Who" classic story "Enemy of the World". That was a great character. But, of course, in early "Doctor Who", black people tended to not survive the adventure.
I love that show, especially the theme song. I used to watch it, back in the 90's, on BET. Ive gone back, over the years and rewatched it. I caught a few episodes, a few weeks ago, and it's still worth watching.
