A channel for transitioning your Police Interceptor Utility for civilian use without looking like a cop. All my parts are available for purchase at 3Dub200.com.
Awesome stuff, just got done watching all of your videos. This Friday I'll be picking up a '19 PIU with 67k mi and 11k total engine hours for $6k. A bit of a gamble since I didn't have time to inspect, but according to the logs they maintained it religiously. This is not my first gov. auction but it is my first PIU. Depending on what I find I'll either flip it around quickly or convert back to civilian trim and adopt it as the new daily driver. If I go this route I'll do the full conversion back to civilian trim since I don't want to be the douche driving the cop car, lol. Have you considered opening up a forum or discord channel focused on de-policing?
Hi, can you do a video or send a dm or pm on the possibility of rear A/C for a 2015? I just sold a 2004 Tahoe Z71 that had flawless A/C in it, besides being super comfortable. My Kids are mad as Hell there’s no rear A/C, just what’s presumably dummie vents in the headliner.
Yes, its basicly bleach. Used in water treatment, pools, etc... It is not safe for vehicles, never to be used in sun light... Should have used ozone... besides its much cheaper if you are doing many vehicles...
looked into the description to find the light but unfortunately they’re all sold out. do you know another site i could get one? 💔 been trying to find a replacement for months
For those who have wired their consoles for power, what wires in the console did you connect into? Ive watched several of these great videos, and just cant figure out what I should bring my spliced power wires from under dash into? I used the default cig lighter power, but am trying to get the lights and other power options functional
On one of my two PUI, the trunk door has to manually be unlocked every time I want to open it. But on my other I just pressed the trunk button and it just matters if the car is locked or not. How do I fix this?
It is possible but involves adding the blower and A/C unit and all the wiring all they way back to the BCM and swapping the climate controls to one equipped with rear controls. Not worth it in my opinion.
Where do I go to purchase 2 of pockets to cover the shifter. We pulled consoles out of a 2017 & 2019 Ford Explorer interceptor with column shift and consoles we picked up had holes for floor shift and we need your little pocket\box!! How much??
Hello, I just purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer police interceptor and I want to delete the interior A pillar windshield moldings because the police department already deleted the exterior ones.... I pulled a driver side and passenger side off of a 2015 but the passenger side cones with handle and there were no bolt housing to install a civilian molding..... can you advise how you did yours or modify it to install properly?
The compass is located in the IPC module. You cannot enable bluetooth if your PIU does not have Sync from factory. If you want to add aftermarket Bluetooth you can see my video on it.
Also question actually. Do you know what the part number is for the ambient air temp sensor harness that plugs into the sensor itself? I bought an entirely new OEM harness for the front end however the sensor extension is missing and that’s what I need lol.
I appreciate this video because I just bought a 2016 PI. A few questions. Does the support bar have to be removed to install 2nd row seating? Are all seats from the same year compatible and can be installed into a PI? Are there specific 2nd and 3rd row seating that fit into PIs? Thanks for the help.
The only thing that needs to be removed for 2nd row seating is the big steel brackets that cover area under where the 2nd row goes. The "X" support bar in the back can stay unless you also want to install 3rd row seats. All seats from 2011-19 Explorers are compatible as well as seats from a Ford Flex and I think similar year Lincoln MKT
Bro do you happen to have the wire diagram for the passenger side I can find the reclining motor I’m trying to test it but don’t know which wires it is
Great videos. Just picked up a 2015 taurus Interceptor with 1000 hours on the motor from Florida. I was wondering what products you offer that'll work if any? I'd appreciate any feedback as it's my daily kid hauler now.
So here is my question. I have the 2015 police interceptor sedan. I have a vertical blanking plate that's just to the right of the trim that you see next to the number pad. It looks like it definitely could have the stacked USB with aux port underneath it. I have been looking at prices and so far for that switch that has both the aux and the USB port in it the lowest price I can find is $55 which I think is stupidly expensive. I will have to figure out how to use fore-scan and get a computer that can run it that is a complete whole other battle and if you have any information on that or a video you've already done you can link me to I would be extremely thankful. I don't know what it is about the cars, but 93% of the information that I have found on RU-vid or forums is unorganized and inaccurate. Any advice you can give me besides what's in this video all I want to do is be able to have aux and USB run into the radio I don't care if it is active USB or if it is just for charging (Bluetooth would be nice but not necessary). Ideally i would love if it could read information but if not that's fine. Also, if you have any recommendations on where I can get a better center console than the generic one that I have that would be great the generic one that I have has a basic storage compartment and then two size cup holders but still leaves about a foot and a half in between the front of the cup holders and where the dash begins. It looks nice but the cup holder sizes are useless and the storage pocket is too big and it's hard to reach back to. Going to do all of this for as cheap as possible. I don't care if I have to put a few hours of work into redoing the dash the center console and pulling out the unit to do wiring that stuff doesn't scare me. Sorry for the entire wall of text.lol If you look at aftermarket options for these cars at least in my experience I can't find an aftermarket head unit that will allow you to retain the controls of the air conditioning and heating panel that you see beneath the large D pad in the center. Deep police officer you just earned yourself another subscriber. SUPER stoked I found you channel!! Thanks! :)
Is there any documentation that covers the removal of the power package (inverter and related equipment) that goes where the third row was located? I'm not looking at installing a third row, I'd like to remove the weight, and use the cargo space for transporting dogs (I volunteer with a Great Dane rescue).
Another good video. I have the same holes in my roof from the antennas, about 6 ofvthem rubber pkus work and are not noticed in SUV. But are visable on charger n taurus. My 2017 explorer has massive rust in the inner lip edge of the tailgate and botton doors..
Hi I see you a center console it looks like the one I wanna purchase ! I just purchased a 2016 Ford Explorer Interceptor and I need a center console ?. Can recommend the one that I should purchase please help my brain is in overloaded trying to find the right one. Thanks
Super sweet. I’m really glad I got a FPIU. Civilian model vehicles always suck compared to the police counterparts. Yeah sometimes they’re cheaper, yet far more customizable. I don’t feel bad modding a dinged cop car into a street roller.
I haven't commented much but I've been watching all your videos and I must say, I'm really impressed by your videos and knowledge on these vehicles. I know quiet a lot myself as I have rebuilt mine. However there are things like this lighting option you have been creating which is amazing! I didn't believe there were holes in my doors like you showed so I paused the video and went to my interceptor an low and behold, HOLES! I couldn't believe it! I'm defintetly going to be doing this mod! And to think I was going to buy and replace my door panels or even try to find the hardness with lights in them. Do you think this would work on the rear door handles as well? I'm also looking forward to the other cup holder style lighting as well, and maybe the rear part of the center console lighting eventually. keep up the great work!
Thanks for the support. Unfortunately for whatever reason the OEM light holes were only for the front doors and not the year. It could be modified but not easily. I didn’t end up including the rear console lights since it would require drilling and I wanted to make an easy to install kit.
@@depolicify i understand i figured the same. ill defintetly be doing this mod, im waiting for your other cup holder light mod, the one you have available is not the kind of cup holders i have. hey are these lights dimmable?
Hi I love your console install video I wish I could do my own 😢 I just bought a 2016 Ford FHP INTERCEPTOR And it needs a console I can’t do what you did are there any places that you can recommend professional that I can go to for this type of install? PLEASE HELP! Thanks and keep the videos coming🎉
