I would recommend carefully taking it apart and searching for the source of the obstruction. It's always a good idea to do that once in a while with any gun. Even if it's just to squirt a little dot of oil into the gear works.
Hi Good video, is there any way to cut the tension on the hammer i find my gun is very very hard to pull the hammer back so much so it puts me off using the rifle. Cheers Bill From Scotland.
bill miller Great question unfortunately no there is no immediate way to make the hammer easier to cock. However right out of the box the hammer is a little stiff and will eventually loosen itself up over time
D-op1 did yours not come with the brass plate? I've purchased two recently and neither came with the brass piece that joins the two parts of the stock.
Ah ha, now I see how the spring puts tension on the piece I want to call the sear...if I have that correct. I think the same principle could make a mouse trap.
Yes Sir I have in fact finished the rifle and shot it I just haven't put out the video yet. Need a little work on your terminology and you presentation, but otherwise very helpful. Thank you! I've been looking for basics on the trigger assembly on my muzzleloader before I tear into it. Got problems a week before deer season starts and I was scrambling. Just a FYI..."the flint strikes the frizzen, the spark from that strike throws the spark into the flash pan, which holds a small measure of black powder. Once that powder is egnited".....and you got the rest. Camera work was better than most offerings. Thanks again.
