ha ha, no offense, really like this video otherwise. What a beautiful sound that motor has and you've got a great place to let it out right near where you live. It's a good vid, man. @@cjcharvet
My Jan/1970 Commando 750 usually starts on the second kick, prime both carburettors by turning on the right fuel tap, depress the ticklers until you see some fuel but not pouring out, use the kick starter to bring the engine to Top Dèad Centre, turn the ignition on and depress the kick starter with all the vigour you can muster. Repeat until the bike roars to life.
Thanks it rides awesome and you get used to the shifting pretty quick. I switch between my three bikes often but I find the longer I ride it the more I like it.
My current lineup is the Norton, Ducati GT1000, and a BMWs1000xr. Nothing beats riding them all back to back. Haven’t found anything exciting enough to add to the mix in a while. Maybe trade the XR for an RR, but I need a touring bike. 😂
Had one of these for a while and haven't got around to fitting it. I don't experience any problems starting the bike with the original, but completely agree that it gets in the way of foot placement on the peg (which I reckon is pretty important). I'll fit mine tomorrow 👍
It’s much nicer but like you’ll read there’s no detent so it tends to move out on ya. Luckily it’s already inside your leg so it’s easier to keep in place.

Wow that is one sweet sounding motor.no norton decal on the tank. Is that standard .i had both the 750 and the 850 and they both had tank decals .thanks for the ride took me back to some awsome days on my favorite ever bike.im subscribed .
The tank was hand-built in polished aluminum by tab classics in Wales tabclassics.com. The stock was fiberglass and not nearly as good at holding fuel. I have black decals on it now but may switch it out for black with gold outlines.
