I visited Jackson in early June for a few days. The prices at any store or restaurant were simply outrageous. For example, a milkshake is not worth $21, medium size at that. I can tell you that it appears the prices are set to keep the poor out unless they want to work. For me, I never plan to visit again and will find other places to stay when I visit the Grand Tetons.
Top 10 things to do? Simple, Leave Is it pretty? Sure, but it’s ridiculously expensive. Mountain View’s ain’t worth that much. Nothing but a bunch of greedy overpaid rich asshole wannabes, who wouldn’t last 5 seconds in the days of the old West.
I don’t know when this clip was filmed, but the Bar J Wranglers is no more. The property was sold and is slated for development. 💰 The elk refuge is fantastic, but it would be good to emphasize that you’ll ONLY see elk on the refuge in the winter. I would also encourage folks to stop by Jackson Lake Lodge (in GTNP) to view the iconic Mt. Moran out the very tall windows in the upper lobby. There’s also a great place to view wildlife on the lower deck looking towards Jackson Lake. You did a great job of summarizing things to do in and around Jackson. I was a resident there from 2005 - 2019 and miss it terribly, but just couldn’t afford to live there anymore. 💸
Lexington Avenue Brewery has been gone for several years and had been replaced by Bold Rock Cider. Cider is another Asheville favorite, with Noble Cider just a couple of blocks away.
I've noticed that you have not mentioned any breweries for tasting & food. Sedona Az has a great one & des Moines Iowa has several. Families are not the only ones who want things to see!
