The action base that comes included with kits like this is the Action Base 13. It's a shame Bandai won't sell it on it's own as it's definitely superior to the AB1.
@@gundamplanet Bandai actually numbers the runners for the action bases corresponding to which action base it is. AB-1: Action Base 1 and so on. The runners for the specialty one in kits is AB-13: Action Base 13. So they've got a whole bunch of other action base designs in between that we haven't seen yet, or were considered failures probably. :P
I bought the MG Justice Gundam when GP first stocked it, and it's been sitting in my backlog ever since - but one day, it will get built and shine like the gem it is!
Nope! We were worried there would be but everything went together exactly as expected. Some parts are kind of snug but we'd take that to being overly loose any day
When Lady Maria stepped out of her box and onto Gundam Planet even the Gundams were like, 'We better not mess with her-she probably parries laser beams!
Just found out that gundam seed has a new series(?) and these upgrades gundam! I’m in between a figure and model collector (not so I don’t really have anything tbh but would love to get a few when I have more money and a house lol…) but this figure is $100+?! 😭😭 I remember I had some figures of the Infinite justice and strike freedom for like $30 each but I don’t think they were as detailed as this
The mighty strike freedom is so unique and completely different to all of its predecessors! Dunno why some people call this a lazy design when nothing like it has ever been done before...
It's because of the sheer number of color correcting stickers. At this point, they need to start actually making the parts in the correct colors, even if it means a few more pieces instead of just adding more stickers. This is especially true for the rifles. It's almost comparable to the P-Bandai Crossbone Full Cloth at this point and this cannot be the new standard.
@@ohnosmoarlulcatz i was commenting on how its a lazy design bc its just the strike freedom with a new backpack (lorewise it is ik), but your comment is also true
See, I loved the freedom, but hated the strike freedom when it came out in seed destiny. But this thing. As a metaphor for the power of love and consent, manifest as an overpowered machine that doesn’t even have to move to kill you. It’s amazing. Love it so much
Especially in kits that have a lot of accessories like this one, it helps pace the build by getting them out of the way first. Otherwise you have this amazing mech completed and standing there while you still have to go through 12 runners of weapons and accessories before you're actually finished with the model.
Ive been thinking about it too. It looks really similar to gen 1 armored core designs that i wanted to buy one as an unofficial AC kit but kept changing my mind. Fast forward to today i really liked the latest kyoukai senki kit gouyocustom so i bought one and after building and taking a good look, damn Now that's an Armored Core
I do dry transfer decals the dangerous way by holding ut in place with one hand and rubbing it on with my fingernail. I had no issues with my Zaku 2.0. I wish they sold dry transfers with every kit.

As a photographer, i can say that these are all good pointers! A few things you might want to keep in mind regarding lighting, though: -As well as having the light come from the side, also try playing with the height! You can get more contrasty lighting with more extreme high angles, and a more diffuse look with more straight on angles. -Try shooting from the dark side of your gunpla! It helps to create more intense light, and really accentuates the hard panel / silhouette lines -if youre looking for a more neutral look, try putting some white material on the opposite side of the light, to bounce some brightness back into the shadowy areas! Doing so also lets you play around with even more extreme lighting angles
Loved it. You nailed all the basics and some pro tips. I'd definitely want to see some stand recommendations. Probably a lot to ask but another idea might be to suggest compatible effect parts and how they might look with the models.
I see you did not have human Plus or OP INTENSITY the way that I got around this whenever I wasn't using those is tank build for me ultra-heavy ACS was always the solution TANK UP OR GO HOME RAVENS
