And they will sing in english all the time and promote in the U.S., not korea. There are two aspects of XG concept/lore. One, their symbolic animal is the wolf. The guys with the wolf masks are the XG supporters, the fandom (called Alphaz ... and our symbol is a stylized wolf head 🐺). Hence the fangs - they just woof and attack. The second aspect is that that XG is not from this world (which sounds absolutely legit to me ^^) but aliens from outer space. In short - alien space wolves. You will see and hear a lot of sci-fi/alien references in their tracks. There is even a sort of "origin story" track ... watch the performance video Hesonoo & X-Gene for that.
Just to clarify… this is their debut pre-released single since it is their first track showcased to us. However, it is a PRE-RELEASE from their upcoming EP. This song seems to be an intro release which is why it is so short. It is an intentional 2 minute anthem (think of a little longer than normal theme song) … they have confirmed to be releasing another single in JULY which will be another song from their EP debuting August 16th titled “SIS” (Soft Is Strong). A lot of people are having mixed reactions because they feel like the song is too short so it makes the song “bad” but you can tell the song is intentionally made this way for what’s to come which is something the girls themselves keep saying and are pretty satisfied with how everything is coming along. Additionally, many people like me who have watched them since pre-debut know the potential in the songs they will make as we literally listened to three original ones form their survival show. Ppl keep coming at them for it and its like if ppl think this song is the type of music they’ll keep making are not paying clear attention no shade. The song was cute, brief, and statement-filled. P.S. they stated “no this ain’t a debut” for a literal and figurative reason. This is just the intro to the beginning.Also, not these ppl acting like all debuts have to sound and be the same... which is something Lara mentioned herself wanting to have a different kind of debut. XGs concept is that they are alien shape shifting wolf pack. They often have fangs and long nails and appear in different forms. I don't think there is an official MV description but the way i see it is that they are attacking the headquarters of the brainless (see shape of their headquarters and actual brainless people). Simon (EP) is commanding from the ground. Jurin, as always, is the first in. She breaks through with her troops and sets the place ablaze as a distraction. Harvey comes "surfing" in from space. Switching from her cruising suit to her combat gear and crashes into the building. Chisa, like her verse says, just got out of bed and is running a little late (she does love to sleep a lot irl) 😂😂😂 She hits the hyperdrive in the wolfmobile and crashes the party. Maya blasts in with her group and find the leaders of the brainless people and they proceed hold court with them. You see I'm Maya's next verse, the head explode. Coco is in the back of the truck coming in with the ground troops. 💪🏾 She's hyping them up for the battle and shaves her head to show them she's ready to fight. Juria and Hinata are the Dr. Stranges of the group. Attacking from another dimension and channeling the mystic arts. I think it's a great MV concept. Yes "bighit music" is still there under HYBE, BUT the channel you see on yt named as "Hybe label", this Channel's previous name used be "Bighit entertainment" where they only used to post BTS and later txt joined after debuting. But after bang pd's resignation as a CEO of bighit entertainment. They changed the "Bighit entertainment" channel name as "hybe label" and later they named BTS and TXT sub label as "bighit music"

This is a 7-member(ages 18-22) Japanese global girl group ( 4 rappers and 3 vocalists but they all can do it all ). They operate in both Korea and Japan but they are not a K-pop group, they almost always sing in English. They can speak Japanese, Korean and English and English is their 3rd language. They mostly do Rap and R&B stuff but they are really versatile, you will see all kinds of songs from them. These girls have bars actually. COWBOY REACTS has a 35-minute breakdown video on this song and has another 1-hour video of him breaking down GALZ XYPHER which is the rap song XG blew up :D Other reactors have breakdowns of their other rap songs, especially the TAPE's, in which they use the beats of "known" songs and sing their own lyrics. They pay homage to OG's and show respect all the time. They have tons of references etc. They are basically a shape-shifting alien wolf pack from another galaxy and they have a lore. The eye thing was always prominent in XG music videos. You can see them keep changing and evolving etc. You'll see the throughline if you watch all their music videos. "Shooting Star" tells the story of them wanting to shoot off into the Stars to achieve their dreams. "Left Right" shows them travelling across the galaxies. "HESONOO&X-GENE" is them awakening from hibernation before reaching Earth. "GRL GVNG" is XG's arrival on Earth. "TGIF" is their evolution commencing on the planet. "New Dance" is them exploring their new environments ETC. ETC. WOKE UP is kinda like them taking over or getting ready to take over. Their different songs/MV's represent different ERA's of their arrival to Earth ( not Earth per se but planets in general I assume ) and taking over. You can check the zoomed-in eye shots in these MV's and see the differences. They used those eye thingies in other songs like Shooting Star as well. I am not 100% sure what eye represents but my interpretation is that it shows their evolution or it basically shows they are aliens in a cool and visually pleasing way. I am sure they have a more detailed lore but we as the fans don't know much details yet. They also have tons of references and easter eggs in the videos. For example, in the first Maya verse, it is like a court scene and Maya says "I'm the judge and jury" and she is addressing the "haters". There are people around in wolf-heads who are the witnesses ( which are the fans - their fandom name is Alphaz, WE are the witnesses ) and a guy is being judged with the upper half of his head missing. He represents the haters so they are no-brain, only talk. Also, you can see there is a building at the start and at the end and, a guy approaches it. He is the CEO of XG's label. Basically, he is XG's boss, but in the video, he is their commander. So while Maya taking the haters to the court, the other girls are coming in from the multiverse to attack the haters' """"head-quarters"""". You can see in the end it is in the shape of a head. It also blows up, so it means they take down the haters but it can also mean, after you finish watching the video, your minds are blown. EXTRA : Cocona shaving her head can be interpreted in multiple ways. Saying F U to the beauty standards of the industry? Also, XG got some shade because of their outfits, hair styles, lyrics etc. ( Coco had braids for a lil while, so basically saying here, I cut all off, what now ? ) saying that they appropriate black culture ( they actually don't, they love the culture and they pay homage all the time. They don't pretend, they grew up with those songs, and their inspirations are the biggest old-school R&B, hip-hop, and rap artists mostly from the USA, they sing their songs, they use their beats, they shoutout and everything ) also, it appears she already did that when she was younger and wanted to do it again. The label didn't want her to until now since it fits the concept and MV so she did it in this MV.
