This reminds me of the scene in BASEketball when Squeak ask the reporter, "Hey, you want an interview with me?".... The interviewer looks at him and just says, "No" 😂
It's a good story but unless it was pre season it didn’t happen..Shawn didnt start and played 13 minutes against the Celtics in Boston in 89-90, Bird had 40, 90-91 Shawn didnt start and played 22 mins and Bird had 11, 91-92 Shawn didnt start and played 17 mins and Bird had 25
People who talk smack on Larry on how he couldnt jump or run forget that he’s a legit 6’10”. So even at Jordan’s height, he’d have to jump twice his vertical to block Larry’s jumpshots. And this is Jordan. For everyone else--Yeah, not happening
Have to take all these old stories with a grain of salt. Shawn’s memory is fading. 12/13/89 he came off the bench only played 13 minutes, Bird had 40 and a triple double. So yes, he did kill him while he was in there, but he was killing the other guys too.
People can argue with me all they want but talent wise Garnett is the great pf of all time,He just didn't have the team till his later years in Boston.
So interesting how Kemp is willing to change the facts to make Bird look better (and in turn, story better). 1. Bird scored 40, not 50. 2. Bird played more than three quarters: 46 minutes (almost the whole game.) 3. Kemp didn’t start that game. 4. Kemp only played 13 min total
Man that damn Bird. 😂😂. I was the only black kid in the neighborhood who was a Celtics fan in the 80’s. It was all LA, Detroit, Chicago, NYK and the Hawks.
