Car Repair, this is off subject but you may like it. SK was a 100 year old USA tool brand that move to China last year. I got the China made SK 3/8 dr 216 position ratchet just to check it out. I decided to test the China made SK 216 position ratchet. I put a deep wall 19mm socket on the ratchet and put it on one lug-nut. Understand I am a fat guy at 330 lbs. and I stand on it, as in I put one foot on the ratchet and climbed up on the car so the only thing holding me up was the ratchet. I then checked the ratchet and did this 2 more times. The ratchet is just fine, no change.

@carrepairandtoolsvideos 17 часов назад
Thats a surprise. SK definitely makes quality ratchets. I have heard so much good things about this brand. Well, made in China does not always mean bad. Its just how company take quality measure seriously. Bahco, facom, wurth etc are made in China now a days and most of their tools are not bad. Although they are not the same they used to be but still they good value for the price. But good to know you did that experiment and proves the quality of SK tools. Thanks for sharing your experience :)

Since it’s a private company it’s hard to judge how big they are. Any idea on their sales and number of employees? I believe Godore is 50% bigger and Stahlwille is a little bit smaller. Am I close? Great very interesting video. Can’t wait for the visits.
@carrepairandtoolsvideos
@carrepairandtoolsvideos 11 дней назад
You are right, Gedore is bigger both employees and turn over. But I think Hazet profit margins are better per capita. Gedore has over 2000 employees vs Hazet of around over 550. Gedore profit is around 195 millions Euros vs Hazet's 120 millions. Gedore's employess are 3 time more than Hazet where profit is just double than the Hazet. Hazet profits are huge per capita than the Gedore. One reason of Gedore tools that they have cheaper line Gedore Red plus other subsidiaries like Klann. That is why they have more products more employees and more turn over. On Stahlwille you are right too. All these three brands are awesome in their own way. Seems like you have quite alot knowledge :)

Thanks for a great simple and very clear explanation. The tool is pretty much self-explanatory but it is good to follow the job through with someone who is using it correctly just to check we have things straight. And it's great to NOT have an overenthusiastic guy talking to me like he is an ultra-cool rapper and I am a 16 year old skateboarder. I'm not a "dood" or his "bro" and I don't like to be called that. I just want to someone to explain without starting every sentence with "so" and having 3 or 4 "like"s in everything they say. "So Bro', like, the tool is, like, super easy to, like, use dood". This really helped me to make my mind up to buy. Once again thanks.
