My channel is all about getting out and seeing new things. It might be travelling to somewhere new or exploring exciting and interesting places, maybe even on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle)!
Both travel and the water are my passions and I'd love to share my stories and experiences with you
You will get a glimpse of my life in Australia as well as some of the places we visit overseas.
Please subscribe to stay updated and make sure you comment and tell me about what you like and what you want to see.
Until next time, this is Steve Nahuysen, signing out!
Unfortunately, no. My AVE was stolen about 4 years ago, so I now have a Focus e-bike. German made, a little better built for trails, it’s really good. The range really depends on the power level you choose and the type of terrain you ride, Eg are there many hills, etc. But yes, I can get 100-150 out of it.
I pumped up my board once at home right after buying it and immediately decided to get the pump. Screw doing that in the summer heat. I also had surgery after breaking my elbow last year so my arm will thank me lol
Yeah it’s a game changer. Incidentally the battery pack from iRocker didn’t last too long and I replaced it with a different brand. But the pump’s still going strong!
Where are you based? I'm in an Australia and I bought a battery pack from Kings, a camping and outdoor place. So much better and I get heaps of inflations from a full charge.
@@SteveNahuysen I’m in the US. I guess a better question would be then, what type of battery did you use? I see those lithium batteries meant for jumpstarting vehicles that have the high amp 12V socket, but those are much heftier than the little irocker battery.
The battery has a 3 year warranty and it failed after about 1.5 years. The warranty claim process is tedious and it's been over a month since they open and issued a case number, no reply or follow up from irocker customer service. Terrible business practice.
No stunt, it was done as part of Brisbane's annual Riverfire event held every September. Military craft take part every year, including helicopters and F18 Hornets. The Globemaster was the most impressive, though.
Hi Jay, I’d say around 15 mins or so for a fully deflated SUP. It has 2 speeds, the quieter mode is first and inflates it to about 5psi and that’s about 3-5 mins, then the noises mode kicks and until it’s at the preset pressure, in my case 15psi, and that’s about another 10-13 mins (roughly)
1) I really want to like iRocker but from what I'm reading their is literally little customer support ,.. <yikes> 2) How long is the cable to connect pump to car lighter plug,... literally !
I have had no issues with their customer support at all. They ship super fast and quickly fixed a problem I had, no questions asked. I just measured mine and it’s 2.8m or just over 9 feet.
Hi everyone, I have had a few people ask about the correct way to connect your inflation hose. It seems some are having trouble with it popping off while inflating. So I shot a short video showing how to connect your inflation hose to your SUP so this will never happen again. Thanks all ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yzZaQCOi4X4.html
Hi Valeria, the hose joins through a bayonet connector that, when fitted correctly, just cannot pop off the board. When you first start using it, it can take a lot of effort to push down and twist the fitting into its locked position. I suggest that it’s just not locked in correctly, perhaps have a go again and see if you can turn it a little further so that it’s fully locked in place. Good luck!
why my real time figure only 1 or 0.55pci when pumping, i can feel the air around the inflating valve comes out? I have tried to tightening it but doesn't work, would you demonstrate how to insert the pump correctly to the boat?
Hi Kate, it's a bayonet-type connector that will require some strength/effort to connect properly, especially when quite new. You will have to push down with some effort while twisting in a clockwise direction at the same time. The fitting stopping when it's installed correctly so you know it's on correctly.
hmm, i just bought this on everyone advice online. Pumped it to 8psi, when the 2nd stage kicked it, it stop working, said it was overheating. Gosh i wanted this to work....
@@SteveNahuysen maybe before. Irocker can’t be reached by phone, can only email them and they have a 1-2 week response time🙃. So who knows my return window if this thing is a lemon is running out. Is this by design?
@@SteveNahuysen one is electric only and has the proper fitting for the board. This one works great, but isn't helpful at the beach. The other has a battery or electric, but the high volume air gets to a point where it's not helpful and that's with the adapter duct taped to the hose. I've purchased the one made for the board. Right tool for the job.
Not yet. I bought rod holders that fit into the action mounts but haven’t yet tried it. I’m probably not what you would call a keen fisherman, so that could be the main reason.
