Every human fears death. We are wired for survival and death is the threat. But spending your life worrying about an afterlife you can't prove, can't find any evidence for - is a stupid waste. But emotionally, you want to "go on." You want to continue and not die. But that should place LIFE to be cherished. When you get over that, life becomes joyous, compassionate, and infinitely beautiful. It's a pipe dream when you look around to think you're not going to die somehow. It's the "cost of entry" to LIFE.
Thank you Dave .. it's a wonderful thing to sit under Godly, biblical teaching. Our Triune God is amazing in so many ways! How do we learn about HIM more and more if we aren't 'Sticking to the Bible and it's teaching' ?!!!! As you reminded us (2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.) AMEN And thank you Dan for reminding us to examine our hearts (1 Corinthians 11:27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.)
