Absolutely! They really did a number to my Meyer Lemon and monstera... But it was really cool to observe them through the microscope and get to know them a little more.
1👍Wow !! Great presentation, GOD BLESS YOU DEAR , HAVE A NICE TIME Amazing dear pretty sister, very beautiful , wonderful coverage , greetings from HONG KONG @richscenic
Making 5 kokedamas today :) This is maybe the 4th guide I watched over the past month, not sure why I keep watching another. But this one was the best of the 4, thanks! ☺️
Nice video! I was thinking that area was mostly desert terrain, but after watching this I get another perspective. Loved the interesting nature insights. 😊
Of course! The primary reason that I use this netting for the core is to reuse plastic netting that came with our produce, rather than throwing it away. It's a good reuse for it, but I highly recommend non-plastic alternatives if you have access to them!
Amazing capture! That looks like a huge Toad caught down its captor's throat here! I can only imagine what the potential meal is thinking at this moment. 😧🐸😅 It looks quite desperate here, I’m guessing no one reached out, pulling the Toad to save its life?? So could the hungry Snake manage to win the struggle and gulp that whole prey down entirely okay?? It also looks like the amphibian is defensively puffing out to prevent sliding down further. If eaten, does the unlucky thing get swallowed live all the way as well?! It looks so big still, maybe this isn’t the last for the Toad and it can somehow survive the encounter?
It was so incredible to observe! No one was going to save the toad - I wanted the campers to observe nature in its element without human interference. The snake needs to eat too! The toad did puff up to try to prevent the snake from eating it, however it's now up to the snake to puncture the toad to prevent it from escaping, or managing to outlast the toad (which was bleeding, so the toad could have lost the battle of endurance here). If the toad deflates on it's own or gets punctured, the snake would have it's meal!
great idea, but i am trying to eliminate all glue and plastic from my food sources. hope i can find filters and string without plastic. i dunno about staples, do they make stainless steel ones? sigh. i love the 'pattern' that you are using tho! also, not complaining, but you are going to all this trouble to make your 'natural' teabag, but not using 'natural' or safe product to actually make the bag. bless you child
That's a great goal to strive for! Cheesecloth can be a good filter, and utilizing paper-based coffee filters is also good. There are food-grade glues/adhesives that you could use. Another plastic/staple free idea would be to find the natural string and tie the paper-based filter up as if it was a pouch. I find that a lot of plant stores and nurseries sell natural, plant-made string to use for kokedamas or orchid mounting. Another thought is to just get a reusable metal or ceramic tea steeper. Hope this helps! :)
@@theartofecology I harvest it when I can get it, dry it and keep it in a Ball canning jar on my stove so I can shake some in whatever I'm cooking when the mood strikes. You can get a LOT of of those into a quart canning jar.
Poison Ivy is no fun at all... glad to help! :). As a note, please talk to your doctor if you have questions about rashes, it would be terrible to use the wrong treatment and be in pain/itchy!
@@theartofecology that’s ok I don’t trust the medical system at all, am not vaccinated and know they are a huge money making scheme which has few exceptions of actual assistance for us. Thank you
Lovely color! Did you mention the material the shirt is made from? I might have just missed it. I'm hoping to dye some floursack towels, which I use to wrap gifts, but I'm reading that pokeberry dye doesn't work on plant fibers -- has that not been your experience?
You are right - Pokeweed works best on animal fibers (silk/wool,etc... especially with a mordant), however it will also work on things that you don't intend to wash! This shirt is cotton, so it is a plant fiber. It took the pink very well and has worked very well as one of my over-all art shirts that's okay to get paint and other debris all over it without needing to worry about the washing part!
What the heck is sun tea? I have a big old block of beeswax I got from the farmer's market years ago. Can I use that to coat century eggs with, or is that like so not gonna happen?
Sun tea is just a tea (infusion) made by steeping the plants/water in the sun, rather than using a kettle to pour water over a tea bag. I have never made/worked with century eggs, so I am not sure on that answer , however I did a google search and this was the first article to pop up: www.thefooddictator.com/the-hirshon-chinese-century-eggs-modern-method-%E7%9A%AE%E8%9B%8B/. Hope that helps!
@@theartofecology That tea sounds wild! I've never heard of that before...I tried solar powered water several years ago, but other than a small spice jar's worth I left out for three weeks, I couldn't really seem to get it to work. I'll take a look at that article at some point also-thanks!
@@braumenheimer9607 When I make my sun tea, I usually add mint, catmint, lemon balm, and sumac fruits, (but you can use whatever herbs you want) top off with water, and allow it to sit in the sun for roughly 4-6 hours. Then you can strain it out and keep the liquid. Hope you get to try it at some point.
@@theartofecology I've never heard of catmint or sumac fruits(I'm gonna try to look them up in a sec). I tried taking in raw cacao in spring water with cinnamon, cayenne pepper and honey on an empty stomach a good couple of month's back, and got up to 6 ounces cacao per day after two weeks and it was a wild ride(but it also increased my heavy metal toxicity). I'm now on day 8 of yet but another hot spring water fast within two month's time, and I don't even feel anything is even happening.
Thanks! It is an AmScope UTP200x020 Handheld Digital Microscope. It plugs into my phone (or computer if you download the software), and utilizes an Endoscope Camera app. Very easy to use!
Thanks for the video! Making my own orchid kokedama, Ive got a question! What if you only have green or brown sphagnum? Do you need both or will either work?
I am not sure of thats the same plant that we had before but i remember picking smth like that when j was a kid and we also use that when we play like we'll crushed it and throw it on each other ot like making diy magic potions and well put smth like that. I'm just not sure what it is called thats why im here searching for answers ahhaha
