I’ve already gone 7.43 in a mates Dragster (as seen in other videos) and ran my own V8 Dragster. Personal circumstances meant I had to sell it. So I have this Suzuki dragster right now as it fits in our trailer with the Jr Dragster. The plan is to step back up to a V8 dragster once we finish in Juniors.
The junior costs are pretty big !! And now there’re Roadsters the costs will get worse 😂 But that’s why I’m enjoying my Suzuki dragster at the moment. Running costs on that is cheaper than the junior 😬
They sure do ! Especially here in the U.K. , there are 3 Jr Comps here racing in Pro ET (11.99-8.50ET) You’ll see all 3 of the jr comps feature in our other videos 👍 They can race with big cars in the states , but I guess most teams that own one choose not to.
Cheers !! , it certainly felt worse than it looked ! , right rear tire caught air. Let go of the brake as soon as I felt it to smack it back down and gather it up. Stripped the two front motor mount bolts as collateral to turn the win light on 😅
That is a beautiful dragster y'all built my favorite one I have ever seen love it. I been racing circle track since I was 8 and drag raced from age 12-16 in a pro mod mustang once in a blue moon when I wasn't oval racing. I got to drive a Jr dragster with same motor as yours when I was 11 it was awesome
Thank you so much !! Phil McGee built the dragster and has had a bunch of things upgraded by Next Step Racing llc over in Colorado before I imported it over to England. I love it , it’s so fun to drive ! That’s pretty awesome ! Sounds like you’ve had a lot of fun in different cars and disciplines which is really cool. I’ve driven a Top Sportsman Camaro a while back and got to drive my buddies Undercover Dragster in Orlando for fun to a 7.43 which was pretty fast ! I’ve got this little dragster down to a 10.01 in my last video. Making a gear ratio change for our first race back at Easter. Hoping to get it into the 9’s 🤞🤞
It's not a jr dragster , it's a shorter wheelbase dragster that utilizes a motorcycle motor. the chassis is certified to run upto 7.50 in the 1/4. when they're not running in Bracket classes , there's a special class for them out in california called Jr Comp. which run a 6.90 index with a heads up pro tree over the 1/8th mile. so they're closer to a mini Super Comp class. my car over here in england has run a best of 10.01@130.57mph , but it will run in the 9's next year one i change the gear ratio.
Ohhh man, Tim had that for sure... don't they have a photo finish to prove or summat!! ..which means he was quicker than 7.4 if the othe rlane was correct in its timer!
