I used to ask a band I liked to check my tabs whenever I tried working out their songs, they kindly did but eventually said something to the effect of 'try harder first'... That was one of the best 'tough love' moments for ever in music, and has since led to me being able to work out almost anything I want - Try it yourself! I was incredibly moved my this, this was so beautifully played and brought warmth to my heart. I'm a beginner to guitar, I've been learning for about 2 months, and I've been meaning to learn a song to play for my deployed hubby for our 5th anniversary. Thanks so much for such a lovely compliment! It's G, Bm (with a G instead of F#) then a regular Bm for the intro. 20 seconds in is C G... C G D... The chorus is Em... C G... 3:19 - C, G, D. 3:25 - Em, maybe G... (Haven't got a Guitar here/can't remembert, but video shows it roughly... ) C, Then -2-2-4-4-x-x- if reading a tab... Next strumming section = C, G and D Em then D leading in to the outro... C... Em...G Vocal melodies are found inside the chords a lot of the time with slight variations. Hope that's useful :)

Im bery late but this is awesome! I can really feel the emotion by just hearing it! Even when it has bad quality,i can still hear the beauty in it. I am not proffesional at piano but I think pianists would love this!

I don't deny there's a few slipped notes and I change the ending, but it's rather pretentious to write what you wrote, and then play it also with a bunch of mistakes in your video... Realising young that people can answer on the internet, even if you may never see them is a good idea - So treat it like you may meet the people? I doubt if you walked past me in Heathrow when I was playing this, even if I looked you in the eye and said 'what did you think?' that you'd just say 'so many mistakes' - So perhaps don't use the internet to play the 'macho guy'... That being said - Cool man. I've taught this to someone in their teens and it took quite a bit of time to learn, so respect to you and keep it up! All the best to you Lucas, but as the cliche goes, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones ; )

Hey Suanne, Sorry, I didn't seem to get a notification for this comment or missed it. I liked it! I also enjoy sometimes just playing the song loud, but in my very inexperienced opinion, if one starts the song loud (it being a pretty soft song in general) then there's only a potential to get quieter, or fractionally louder, as opposed to starting it quieter, so when those more powerful moment come, an increase in dynamics has a greater contrast - E.g if you start on 8, out of 10, it's not as big of a contrast if you'd start on 4/10 (in terms of volume/dynamics) for example. The same applies to pace I think. I write all that in spite of me also doing the same quite a bit here. Can tell that you are leagues in front of me in your playing though, so all the above can be taken pretty lightly/just an opinion. All the best Suanne! I enjoyed it, and that's number one :)
ive been playing piano for 26 years, and most of it was at the highest level (for my age) im sad to agree that he did butcher this song. i will now retreat to the comfort of my study to play it properly otherwise i wont be able to fall asleep tonight.

And as if that wasn't enough, surprise surprise - A common characteristic of such criticisms on RU-vid - No videos on one's own channel! Maybe the not being able to sleep is for other reasons ; )
Yes indeed it could be better but why all the hate? Main thing is get this beautiful music into everyday life for the joy of others. Playing in the wild is way harder compared to your study room. Give the man the respect and space he deserves.
