We live on this lake and if you return I would be careful letting your dog swim in the lake. There are alligators and they will take your dog or small child. Just fyi.
@@freedomchampagne ok, I’ve looked at booking there before and it says membership fee when I get to the check out I wasn’t sure if I was signing up for a yearly thing or what
The upper Guadalupe river is no longer flowing into the lake due to a flood a couple of years ago. I drove River Road for the first time in a couple of years and it is completely different. The river is so low below canyon dam that you have to walk half the way. The development is ruining the area.
Yes, you're right. We heard this from locals and it's truly heartbreaking. A lot of Canyon lake residents are selling their boats because of the declining water levels.
Hi Dear, Your youtube video content is really good. but views and subscribers are much lower. To increase subscribers and views, you need to do channel SEO meaning your videos are not fully SEO. SEO is not friendly to your title. The SEO score is very low. The main reason why videos go viral is because of video SEO and organic promotion. If you do SEO and promotion then lots of views and subscribers will come to your channel and you will be able to monetize your channel in a few days. I can help you. If you want.
Very helpful! I’m headed there myself, does the little one have any favourite memories from the kids club/overall experience? Also, is it mandatory to provide the banking info at check-in?
Great questions. My 3 year old really liked the face painting, circus toys, and playing with the other kids. I’m not sure as we paid in advance for the kids club but other families we met were just “paying as they go”. I do believe we got a significant discount because we paid for it at the time of booking! Have a great time in Charlevoix, Quebec!
Omggg I love this place sooo much! You can order as many drinks as you want! The spectacular view. The show at night. The staff is amazing. 🎉🎉great video thank you ❤
Development and surrounding communities are using water faster than what is being replenished over the past 6 years. 2021 was the only year the lake went up due to weather system. Unless demand decreases, it will continue to drop. It is now at a record low.
I'm a new subscriber and my name is Kimberley. My husband & I have been wanting to go visit Canyon Lake & I happenstance came across your channel & oh my, I LOVE IT!!! I'm so grateful for your video & the content all throughout. Thank you!! 😊
Love this so much! We are in the early stages of researching RV traveling with our three-year-old German Shepherd, Dax, who looks a lot like Benny. This is a great realistic snapshot of what it might be like. Thanks!! Subscribed! 😊
That’s awesome. We’ve recently transitioned away from full time RV living. Turns out it was a bit hard on our 6 year old GSD. As they do love adventures, they do also appreciate stability. Wishing your family and Dax the best
I have been watching your videos for a week time. I just wanted to let you know that your video quality is good. But Views are low according to subscribers in your video. It would be best if you had SEO, video optimization, and attractive thumbnails. Then your video views and subscribers will increase automatically. Thank you
One of your videos is not ranked in a RU-vid search. Video SEO is very important to get your RU-vid videos in search results. If you want, I will get your video to RU-vid search rank by SEO
Thanks, friend! Yes, it was a hot and sweaty day to visit Enchanted Rock. We were happy to find a dog friendly trail as the ranger staff were so friendly! Thanks for watching
By now, early March a lot of snowbirds are already making their way back up North. However, last March we were in St Augustine Florida and had no issues with the wind!
@@freedomchampagne true probably so. St Augustine is on the Atlantic side and your on the Gulf side. Wind blows in on the Gulf and off shore on the Atlantic side. We live 90 miles inland in Bama and still have some pretty windy days during late winter and early spring
Finally Florida state parks can be reserved by state residents 11 months out while none residents get only 10 months out. It was way over due for residents, especially in the winter months. That is why resident Florida campers had bad feeling for the Snow Birds reserving most of the sites during winter.
Yes, I definitely heard about that. Overall, I’d say Floridians are not thrilled about all the extra traffic in their already congested state. As winter Texans, currently up in Hill Country we have been truly welcomed by the locals. So much so that now we don’t want to leave!
The only winter I ever spent in Texas I slipped on some ICE - in Corpus Christi! - and permanently jacked up my shoulder. I grew up walking on ice in New England only to slip on it a couple miles from the Mexican border. Been wintering in Florida ever since.
I've heard how windy it can be there, but this - this confirmed it! Thank you. Seriously thank you. This is our third winter in the FL Panhandle area & areas around. Done. Cannot do another tornado watch.
You're so welcome. THIS is the video I wish I had seen before traveling all the way to South Padre Island in the winter. The weather has also made us think twice about our life as full time RVers and definitely as winter texans. I do have to say that we have found a good area in Hill Country Texas, where the wind is not so bad but it's not warm 80 degree weather either! Stay tuned for that video, and safe travels to y'all!
@@freedomchampagne we had snow flurries in late February in Hill Country two years ago. But there are wineries there 😂 Next winter it’s Southern Arizona for us.
I think the trade off is being right on the ocean - we are about 60-80 miles west of you and it is windy often - but usually nothing like what you were showing in your video. We are retired however - not a young family looking for young family things 🙂
I bet it's warmer where you are! We definitely tried to find RV resorts in the RGV but so many of them are not family friendly, mostly only 55+ communities
I went through south Texas and didn't like it, kept on going to southern AZ and CA. There are places in south AZ cheaper than what you're paying there and better weather, even better than Florida. Yuma has been warmer than the keys.
Hi Frank, That's really interesting to learn about AZ! It's true that there are cheaper and warmer places than Florida. We won't be returning to South Texas, that's for sure!
We are in Melbourne FL and it’s been crazy windy and cold here too. Nights in the mid 40’s (Fahrenheit) and 30-40 mph wind gusts. I think it’s the year more than the state causing the unusual weather. Enjoyed the video. New subscriber. - Jim
Hey Jim, Thanks for subscribing! I have noticed that the weather is cold in Florida too. However, I bet you do get sunshine most days! South Texas had a lot of windy, cloudy weather. We hope it warms up for ya'll!
Well it’s been cold in Florida this year too. We are 60 miles north of you in Donna. We have had a couple of days of good winds, but. Mostly it’s been great. 50”s at night 70”s during the day. We’ll be down at South Padre in a month. Hang in there it will get better :)
Yes, we've heard that Florida was also cold this year. However, not windy like south Texas! Now were up in the San Antonio region which is definitely not snow bird weather. However, we are making the best of our time in Texas.
Just a minor correction from a native: Bayou is pronounced “bye-yoo.” It has Louisiana French origins. Some pronounce it “bye-yo.” But never “bay-yoo.”
You won't have the ocean, but the western parts of Texas can be good wintering areas. It's desert and there are some interesting small towns and things to see.
Totally, the Rio Grande Valley is an awesome option for winter Texans. However, most RV parks in the RGV are not family-friendly, with many of the options being 55+ communities.
We enjoyed your video and we had just purchased a brand new motorhome I want would like to take it their but you mentioned how the sand was blowing and we were concerned that it might affect the paint finish on our new motorhome. Did your RV experience any problem with the paint being dulled by the blowing sand?
@@kip5588 Hey there! The ocean can be very difficult on bikes and RVs. Any exposed metal for a long period of time will have some damage. For example, our bike chain is destroyed after just one month of staying by the ocean. That's why a lot of people with bicycles will buy a little tent for them. As for your RV, we waxed it before going and washed it right after leaving. There is some rust on the suspension from just a one month stay. I could just image the impact of staying there for 2-3 months. While the ocean is beautiful, it's problematic too. I should say, that at the park, there are lots of mobile cleaners who are constantly going around cleaning rigs. Now, I understand why people are always washing them. However, I'm not sure if that would prevent rust. Hope this helps, and safe travels!
New Subscriber. I love this so much. We are about to move into an RV with our two year old daughter, 44 lbs beagle hound mix and 80 lbs Catahoula Leapord dog mix. And they are part of our family!
Hey! Your comment warmed by heart as our furr babies are absolutely part of the family! Thanks for subscribing. We've also subscribed to your channel to travel along with you. Happy travels!
Totally! Our Benny gives us so many challenges but we love him so much too. It's so true what I said in this video that we learn so much from our pets!
